@@WestonWoodfin You say in the video that you made it, did you just manipulate settings on the Monoline to make it this Vector one? Thanks a lot man!

@@benjaminturnervanlierop7364 Ahhh yeah it has been a while since making the video. I believe it is just the monoline brush with some adjustments to the streamline and smoothness. Procreate is a pixel based software, so it is not possible for it to be a fully vector brush.

I think this convinced me to go for the mini compared to the other bigger models cause of that sticky note analogy , it’s a lot less daunting to create art on a smaller canvas than a large one… even with traditional graphite and charcoal im the same way , if the paper is too large it’s too intimidating to get started

i recently got myself a film setup to, wich i only payed 23$ on. minolta x300 with the md rokkor 45mm f2 and the 28mm 2.8. love it. and while film isnt the cheapest, i think you can do it in quite a reasonable modertation. i found that buying film online is overpriced as heck. on the flip side, we have a local drugstore here that sells 3-4 films like kodak gold200 and agfa apx100 for 7,50$ a roll. adding like 10$ for development for one roll and you ll end up with roughly 50cents per image taken. if you use it very intentionally and for example set a challange of: you want to take 2 photos every single day. you ll end up with a cost of like 1$ per day while enjoying film. and 60 nice photos every months is actually quite a lot tbh. For bags, i am going a complete different approach. i hate camera bags. overpriced and they are usually designed as a camera bag, rendering them useless as normal bags, so if you need a normal bag in your daily life, you kind of need to carry 2 bags. Something i found to be way better is just using camera bag inserts. you can buy small protective square camera bag inserts with seperators and cushioning for like 20-30$ And those things, you can put into... ANY bag, effectively transforming any bag into a camera bag, while also having a bag you can use as a normal bag on top
@MaybeTiberiusАй бұрын
i love the idea of the xe2 tbh. but there is just one tiny thing, thats holding me back on it and kind of prefers the xt2 or xt20 wich isnt THAT much larger and cost about the same. and that is fuji x raw studio. i really love the idea of experimenting with film sims and kind of deinstall LR but the fuji software is actually awesome for that. you can save and manage as many film sims as you want, transfer them and even shoot raw and let x raw studio export and process your raws within the camera applying various filmsims while also adjusting the settings to really tweak your own sims. you can get the jpg results without editing raw while also having the benefits of raw because the software is using the build in processing of the camera itself. thats kind of the perfect middleground to me where i dont wanna go fully jpg and rely on my cameras display, but i am also sick of editing raws. the software seems to be really sleeper awesome. sadly the xe2 isnt supported. the xt2 and xt20 however ARE.
@WestonWoodfinАй бұрын
I don't even capture raw images on my X-E2. The JPEG images I get from that camera are perfectly fine for my use case! I still tweak them, but I'm someone that enjoys editing images in LR.
@MaybeTiberiusАй бұрын
@@WestonWoodfin this is the entire point of fujis raw converter. it uses the processing of the camera itself. that way you can shoot raw, the import them with fuji x raw studio, apply any of your film sims to it you like and have it exported as a jpg. that way you dont have to deal with raws. its not like a raw workflow where you manual edit raws. you just have the raws on your camera and on export, fuji x raw studio converts them to jpg while also applying whatever film sim you want so you re not locked into what sim you picked while taking the shot
@WestonWoodfinАй бұрын
@@MaybeTiberius I hear what you are saying, but I also enjoy the workflow I have. Raw images take up more space and take way longer to upload right to my phone. I almost exclusively use LR Mobile. I like making my own recipes on my fuji and committing to a look and feel for an entire shoot. Then just uploading them straight to my phone and doing final tweaks in LR Mobile. it is the fastest and most convenient way to shoot for me personally.
@MaybeTiberiusАй бұрын
@@WestonWoodfin i m not sure if you do tho ^^ you dont save the raws. they dont take up more space because the final images you save are still jpg. its just that you convert them in the import process and not directly

Nice video, thanks for sharing your setup. I’ve shot with the X-700 since I bought it in 1980 and I can never understand why people say cameras like that force you to slow down. The price of film these days might force you to slow down but I spent many years shooting too fast with it!
@WestonWoodfin4 ай бұрын
I mean it in a good way. When shooting a digital camera like may X-E4 I can take as many shots as I want without worrying about running out of space on my SD card. With film, you have to be a bit more mind full about what you're shooting. You have a limited number of shots and each shot cost you. So inherently, I take my time a bit more. I think about the shot and really consider my framing before ever pressing the shutter.

for the FF sensor, if you wanna introduce more character and fun to the sony, i highly suggest you to get a pair of vintage glass to go out shooting mf. something like an 28mm 2.8 and a 50mm f2/1.7 or something in that ballpark. you can find a pair of these from minolta, pentax, konica,canon or whatnot for really cheap. something in between 50-100$ for both. go out and have fun. 28mm + 50mm FF equiv. is really all you need for like 95% of the time.

Just to let you know that Fuji branded film is Kodak inside at the mo. 400 is Ultramax and 200 is Gold. Ultramax doesn't have as heavy a Kodak warm signature as other films so the primary colours pop a little more but it's not the poppy greens that Fuji OG stock had. They have recently moved packaging to China at the Lucky Film factory so the hope is they will move production there and it'll have a different colour signature.
