I’ve tried an animation on a photo but I’m having trouble with only being able to use 40 layers, any idea how I can use more layers?

The amount of layers you can use depends on two things. 1.) you resolution of your canvas shouldn’t be too large. If you are posting to social try and keep it about the same size as mine in the video. 2.) The amount of layers you can use is in correlation to the amount of GB your iPad has. iPads with 64GB will only be able to use less layers than an iPad with say 256GB of storage. Hopefully that helps.

Why does the whole canvas flash white on mine I can’t see the picture. And whatever i draw on to a new layer is the only thing that shows up getting rid of the thing I’m drawing on.

Hey Knobbly! Be sure to follow every step! It sounds like you don’t have your image that you are drawing on set as your “background” be sure to do that then make a new layer. Otherwise procreate will think the image is just 1 frame in your animation.

Say u want to take ur ring out and animated just the ring from that picture so say first fram has the ring black then 2nd it’s red then every fram from there it changes how can I do that and what about just copy paste
