We have a 2013. Barely open and wouldn't close fully. Tried everything on the internet to fix it. No luck. Came across your video by searching "How to brute force open toyota sienna power door". I was at the point we were going to get it open no matter what. You were on the second of three pages. We couldn't pop off the handle cover, so we had to slowly use a small bit and wrench to get the phillips screw out. Took 30 minutes. Popped it open and although the 2013 looks different than the one in the video, we saw what to do. It did not work. Silly us had the power enabled for the door. As soon as we turned the power button off it OPENED! We wept with joy. This happened to a 2008 we owned and NO ONE could fix it and we got rid of the car. THANK YOU for taking the time to make the video. It saved our Sienna.

I was told years ago the plaid valve covers were only put on the 351 V-6. I know there were several cubic inches motors. The 305, 351, 402, and a 478. They also built a 702 V-12. It was a solid cast block, but had four heads on it. I don't recall the HP, I want to say it was around 325, but the torque was over 600.. GM designed and built all their V-6 motors to run for 500,000 miles.

That would about 80 MPH and they will go a little faster than that. The most disappointing part is the slow acceleration.

Has a 5:1 gear ratio front & back and was really a farm implement on our land in central Texas. Still have those same white dog-dish hubs😊, and evergreen paint. It has 78K original miles on it. It too was garaged and now resides in my garage here in Tulsa. Too many great memories to regale here, but I think of him everytime i walk out in my garage. I worked on many 5.7 350 Gm Diesels.Head bolts were the biggest problem as they were torque to yield and would just snap.Glow plug problem most of the time was a problem with glow plug timer.Hard starting was a indication of the injector pump letting go.Those engines were installed in all gm products including 1\2 ton pickups.Best thing is to install a truck fuel filter with water seperator.That box filter is junk.
@kylescarfarm6 ай бұрын
Replaced the glow plug control sensor today & now it's working perfectly! I really should upgrade the fuel filter because it still has the box type.

And on those bumpers you can remove the bumpers drill a hole in those shock absorbers release the pressure countersink the bumpers drill to that hole again and put a screw in there remount the bumpers and have what's known as tucked bumpers, and you don't need to ever replace all that plastic stuff that's missing that will also make that car look great I even did that to my Seville the rear bumper was the only one I could do because of the configuration of the front bumper won't allow it. It sure made the back end look a lot Slimmer and trimmer.

I believe those came with a breather type cap on the valve cover, instead of the solid one, to act as an air intake for the PCV valve or road draft tube, however this one is equipped. Without the breather cap, it can build up pressure in the crankcase and cause oil to leak out of the main seals.

Thanks for the video. I'm no dumbass (hahahaha) but I got some performance back out of my tired Craftsman 19.2V impact driver by spraying the commutator with CRC electronics cleaner. Now it can un-torque an 87 ft-lb lug again. Whatever is going on with the commutation is going to require a deeper look. If I ever fix something of my brother's and post the video I am totally doing that.
@harborfreight23237 ай бұрын
I suppose if I tried to sandpaper the commutator and put new brushes in it you would say, "Hello, this is the 1980s calling. We have your new brushes right here", which is to say they are stamped and crimped in there pretty good. I had the motor out and couldn't even see a way to get it apart but I never unscrewed it from the gearbox. Hey, I'm getting a Buick vibe... Fix up a Grand National!

Might have a transmission problem... maybe the throttle swtich is bad, so not telling the transmission to downshift. Similar issues can occur on the vacuum controlled transmissions too. Given the grey cloud behind him it appears to be getting fuel or I would have suggested it was the fuel filter.
