Since starting 2.0 ive gotten so sick of how many mandatory trainer battles there are. Everything about ER is so great but its just the sheer amount of people im required to fight on every route. 3:

the route north of rustborrow there is supposed to be done after the gym, that why many of the mons are full evolutions.

The eeveelution quest has a really good prize at the end of it, arguably better than eevium-Z. Good to try to remember it.

I personally would allow 104 north of petalburg. The encounter pool is the same, but its so large that you'll likely get something you wont see later one, and more variety just makes runs more interesting :)

Some things to note : - Even before the evolution items were removed to be replaced by level up, there was a time when you couldn't buy evolutions items until past Roxanne. - The Redux Noivern line originally came from Radical Red but they let Elite Redux use it as a sign of friendship between the two ROM. - Weather Control negates a few moves that were selected as "changed by the weather". So Psyduck makes your team immune to some quite powerfull moves from the enemy team. They are Solar Beam/Blade, Thunder, Blizzard, Sheer Cold, Weather Ball, Hurricane, the Pledge moves and the Unovan Genie's signature moves.

Hey just an idea, not saying you have to but id highly consider just going full Randomized encounters (WITH LEGENDARIES) lol Now i know what youre thinking..”thats probably too broken” I GUARANTEE YOU ITS NOT!😂😂 Theres a fight pretty early on (before brawley) thats damn near impossible because they have OP mons at that point of the game. Just a heads up

i dont know if youll use it, but if youre ever using momentum on something like zebstrika, it doesnt need to invest in attack evs since its just based off youre speed, also meaning things like agility and flame charge basically act as both attack boosts and speed boosts

Omi, if you think this game is crazy now , try do a randomized abilities/ innate/moves run . You will end up with some absolute insane combinations . A Garchomp with poison touch ,water type moves boosting abilities and beast boost who can learn Aqua Step?

Turboblaze actually adds Fire type regardless of the original typing. So Turboblaze Pontya is actually Fire/Fire. Useful when facing things that are resisted by fire and extra weak against the usual weakness.

as others have said, its probably worth having the online dex out, especially for knowing some obscure options

You can set the shiny rate to 1/5 in the options menu. You have a 0.1% to find the mythicals and legendaries of a route in the wild that normally can not be found until after the elite four. You can buy more elite variants after gyms.

Low-key you should just honey every time on route 101 since you have a 90% chance to get a strong mon (beautifly, Dustox, or Audino which has triage) and might as well pull up the online pokedex and counter pick against all the early trainers since you already seen their teams and winning probably isn't even gaureenteed.
