I'm still waiting to see them bring out their red Brighton trolleybus with the 44 destination display. Elm Grove & Race Hill ? I took photos of it in the shed there years ago?

Its bizarre not hearing the roar of diesels! Shame all the infrastructure to run these in dense urban areas has gone to be replaced by diesels. But electric / hydrogen powered buses are the supposed future! 🙂

I wanted to go to I think this very event but I still haven't been to the museum. It looks very good. Loving the motor thrash from the trams haha.

An appallingly wobbly piece of filming-truly terrible. What is more concerning is the seemingly insecure trolleybus overhead, especially on the corner shown in the opening sequences: lack of sufficient poles seems to be the problem. In view of recent (2022) problems at Crich, no doubt the ORR will be cracking down on matters such as this.

umm thanks for the review @Bruce Anderton.... its a shame that you feel the filming is not up to scratch, but then again its not professional and I dont have an expensive camera.

As an ex London Transport engineering trainee in 1971. I worked with men who worked on the 'trolleybuses'. My garage Poplar PR, lost its trolleybuses in 1959. They were superceded by the new diesel Routemasters. That meant that the engineering staffs had to learn about a new type, and all its problems. Sadly Poplar closed it's doors in November 1985, and did not reopen. I should think that many of my old workmates have long since passed away. I do have great memories of my time there. Aged 16, and up to my neck in grease and oil. Flipping marvellous. Well done to the people who have saved these vehicles. I'm sure that my old workmates would appreciate their skills.

Extended Bodies for Most of the Buses Much as I am not comfortable asking the depot why they stopped running the London Suburban Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW’s on routes 30, 121, 230, 271, 349, N279 And 158 why can’t we make the same make of the Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW Buses but Modernise the insides of these Buses. Also, make it low floor up and down and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more so there will be more space for the wheelchair users. By the way, if you could remake and Modernise these vehicles could they also make them into a Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW Version’s that if it will be possible to Modernise the insides of these Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW’s make it low floor up and down and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more so there will be more space and even a London Suburban 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Scania N230UD Enviro 400 MMCs and 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX Diesel engine Enviro 400 MMC’s and also extend the middle the body part of these vehicles a little bit more.
