In the video you have a fire truck ladder and then a ladder with a barrier around it. What exactly is this ladder test? Thanks.
@TheFlex538 күн бұрын
What you see in the video has no correlation to anything to what I was saying lol but the test is just you climbing up a ladder that's about 14 feet using proper contact and standing straight up when you get to the top without looking like you have a phobia or something.
@HoosierCanuk7 күн бұрын
OK cool. Not sure why the fire truck ladder then but thanks for answering.

They tell you "If you know you will have problems with the drug test, just walk away...don't come back, it won't even count as a refusal." I can't believe how many people still go and take the test, "hoping to somehow pass", but that is what being on drugs does.

No. That's just the highest I've seen working there so far. On average, I would say I'm getting like 800 miles.

@Georgia_Rob yeah I was in Tennessee the boat dealer was out in the woods I was going down a two lane road when I drove up to a spot where it broke off in 5 different directions my GPS went crazy I didn't want to get my equipment or load in a bad situation and make things worst I knew I was close to the dealership so called them up and asked for assistance the guy was a jerk on the phone and couldn't articulate directions clearly I asked him if could drive down and escort me in and he hung up on me called TMC and said I was arguing with him so because of that I was fired for insubordination.

Whats the story about not walking on the grass or you're fired?
@TheFlex53Ай бұрын
@RoyceAubuchon not sure bout termination. But they do have signs in some areas of their facility to keep off the grass. So it's probably best you do just that to avoid any conflict.

So i would get my cdls through Schneider and tell them I’m interested in their tanker jobs rather than regular trucking?
@TheFlex53Ай бұрын
You would do is go through their C.A.T program if you don't have your CDL already. C.A.T stands for CDL apprenticeship training. You would go on their company website under careers and see if they have "OTR tankers" available. You should see "company paid training" when you see this. Once you apply, you'll talk to a recruiter, do everything on your end, and then they're going to send you to Green Bay to train for your CDL-A. You will train in an empty tanker truck as well as test in one. If you pass, they will send you to Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, for 3 weeks to do the complete job functions of a tanker driver. You will drive with it loaded and learn how to do unloads.

No disrespect, but it’s the real world. TMC will make sure that you know what you’re doing as far as securement and the right way to do it very very very many. Do not give a damn and will set you up for failure if you wear a flip-flops and don’t give a damn about appearance and have no common , sense and no work ethic flatbed is definitely not what you want to venture into not to mention possibly even the trucking industry since it’s overflowing with dumb ass people now I guess what if you can’t show him that you have what it takes to do the job they’re not gonna coddle you and put you on top of the head and give you a cookie you have to earn it.
@Poorboyzgarage4472 ай бұрын
Sounds like a lot of bs just to drive a truck
@TheFlex532 ай бұрын
Yea. But you gotta remember this isn't dry van where you're just driving. With flatbed, you're doing a lot of physical work such as tarping, climbing, and strapping on the freight securely. So they want you to be fully capable of going out solo and doing these loads without a problem. I kinda get it, but I'm just not with them having someone travel to Iowa or South Carolina with the false hope of getting trained and having a future job guaranteed. It can be a really big waste of time if you're not what TMC wants you to be.

@joan_ltv7107 I waited around 2 weeks and then it went pretty quick. Be patient. Most importantly understand what you are signing up for. I have been with the company for 4.5 years. If you have questions I'm here.

@TheFlex532 ай бұрын
You got this bro. It helps to be in shape but it's more important to be attentive on how he demonstrates the lift technique. Cause you may be able to get the tarp over your shoulder, but the technique you used may cost you if not done in the instructed standard. Try to mimic as much as possible and try not to show much struggle. Good luck 👍🏾

Do they still have Fox News playing all day? And are some of the trainers still making the same old racist and bigoted jokes? One of the coolest trainers that I met there was a guy named Eddie.
