Hello Dennis, makes me happy to see how the Delta 917 can be fitted to a tt-02. I am waiting for my 917 body to arrive this week and by your build I am reassured my intended speedrun project can be done. You added many Details to the Delta body to make it look more scale. Superb job Dennis! Klaus from Germany
@fastrack59 Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much man. If you’re gonna use the Delta Plastik body for speed runs then this will be perfect. Because the lexan plastic they used is 2mm thick. Specially designed for speed runs.
@klauslass6766 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your reply. Right now I run a reinforced GT40 body from HPI which works well up to my latest speeds around 125 km/h . I fancy those late 60s cars and as the 917 has a lower and smaller overall profile it will go even faster than the GT40. I was desperately surfing the net to find anyone who married a tt-02 with this body, worried about where to place the front body posts and the 917s front height in the posts area. Your Fenix looks better/more correct indeed. For my purpose it would be too wide, although I run foam tires just like you, 40mm rear, 30mm front.

I have 3 mags and so far one leaks. But as a quick fix, I tighten the two CO2 cartridges simultaneously. And it’s good to go. Of course applying silicone oil first at the tip of each CO2 cartridge. A KZbinr suggested to apply Vaseline on the tip of the cartridge. Which according to him fixes the leaking problem. Haven’t tried it yet though.

The fake "mini" silencer on the DPMS and R1 Crosman's is just screwed onto the 14mm CC threaded barrel end. Use a rubber jar top opener pad to grip the fake silencer and turn it clockwise (looking at it from the muzzle end). The DPMS SBR is the exact same front end as the R1 - same threaded barrel, same Pict rail shroud etc. The ONLY difference is the butt stock assembly and the R1's Buffer tube assembly will fit onto the DPMS and Crosman will sell that R1 (or Bushmaster for that matter) buffer tube assembly to you as a replacement part. But, why bother, just buy another Crosman, an R1 this time if you don't like DPMS butt stock. Crosman sells a factory refurbished R1 for $129 shipped. Just as a footnote, DPMS Panther Arms does NOT make any model that looks anything like the Crosman DPMS SBR .... I have a real DPMS Panther Arms SBR I shoot in Run n Gun Competition matches. Numerous Airsoft dealers online sell 14mm CC Faux (fake) Silencers, just make sure you get one with the foam tube inside so it actually does "quiet" the shots. Check out Evike.com.

It requires a bit of work. Specially on the grinding part of the process. Difficult to explain in words. I’ve been meaning to do a video on it but my busy schedule is very restricting. But I learned how to mod the buffer tube watching a KZbinr’s very brief instructional. Now I can’t even find that video. As an overview, you’ll need to remove the original buttstock. Then on the buffer tube there are 2 pins, front and rear. Remove those pins carefully. Pull out the tube. There are two rail bars on the tube where the stock mounts. Grind those down till you achieve a perfect circle. Flattening it until the tube is perfectly smooth. You’ll also have to cut the protruding portion of the plastic shroud at the rear end of the receiver. When all these are done, simply slide a regular airsoft ar15 buttstock. Some people say the buffer tube of the dpms is not milspec. So using one may not fit.
@maxstone25662 жыл бұрын
I saw it on a Crossman pump called the M4 ... looks like an AR

@@santan_v_manman247 I picked up two 4inch long 1.9mm outer diameter barrel extensions at an airsoft shop near my work. The buffer tube is standard size. But you’ll have to grind down the buttstock rail bars underneath to make it round to fit a normal AR buttstock. Also, you’ll have to cut away the top shroud and you’re good to go.

good day Sir! can you share how the modification is done on the mpw mock supressor? thanks!
@fastrack593 жыл бұрын
There are 2 large screws at the front end of the forward hand grip. One on either side. Those screws hold the picatinny rail and the mock suppressor. Remove the 2 screws then carefully slide the mock suppressor forward to remove it. Return the screws to re- secure the picatinny rail. There will be a threaded tube about 1/4 inch sticking out. This is size 14mm with counter clockwise thread (negative). Simply screw on the outer extension barrel. The gun’s bb barrel will also be exposed. About 5 inches. This will not be secure and is loose. What I did was wrap duct tape around the bb tube at the exact spot where the threaded tube protrudes. Winding the tape until it fits snugly so the bb tube doesn’t move out each time you fire the gun.
