Great vidéo. You say nosy "IRANIA" with a "I" . You have to prononce nosy "IRANJA", with the "J" 😉 Malagasy prononce "NOSYRANJ" in one word, whithout the the I and the A of IRANJA

@@rogergurr9090 thanks for the comment Roger. The locals at Iranja are a bit camera tired since so many tourists come to their island. The other issue we had was my limited french. No one speaks english, so we barely get past hellos and maybe we anchor near your island. I hope to better my french and come back to Madagascar one day.

@@rogergurr9090 You'll find answers to some of your questions in the French online magazine Voiles&Voiliers, because I've been sailing in Madagascar for a long time and I write articles. Just Google ‘trimaki Voiles et voiliers’ and you'll come across many articles I've written. As far as customs are concerned, since the Covid epidemic, things have become very complicated, even to the point of banning foreign sailboats. It's very difficult to get clear, reliable information. To avoid problems, I've registered my trimaran in Madagascar and I can travel freely. Naturally, it's impossible for visiting sailboats.

Shew - they have got tough - we arrived on a 10 m boat - the 10 armed Poms arrived on a 13m RIB - they all got on our boat to have a look around - it was chaos - but we had some leeway on ETA.. well done guys so happy you got there.

Safe travels guy - question for you - did you have to give an ETA to get into Chagos - and did they allow any leeway on arrival dates or where they quite strict. Hope you have calm Cs north of Madagascar..

@@DirkJacobsz no leeway at all. We paid for a 4 week stay. Arrived after our permits arrival date and left long before it ended. Other cruisers asked to move dates that we heard were denied.

Thank god you - you are a hoarder - so glad you made it to Chagos - how exciting and well done ..between Yakamaka and Ile Fouquest is the wreck of a ferro concrete boat that nicked the reef and sank in 10 mins. Poor Chagosinians -they were told by the Poms they would be taken shopping to the Seychelles - and then kicked off their islands so the Yanks could build an airbase to bomb the world - so much for human rights and democracy..

Yeah it is maddening we live in a world where these things happened. Hopefully with the internet less things like this will happen. We saw the are fighting for it back, but I can't see people living here without serious financial backing.
