I was rushed with my earlier reply due to limited time. I hope you're holding up okay with this next experience with cancer. The concern (and sometimes fear) of it returning is always in the background for me. I think it's that way for most survivors, at least for a while. I'm sending prayers up for you right now and will keep doing so. May you be blessed on this journey.

Tara why no fruit? Blueberries are so anti cancer ☺️
@tarasjourney-lettinginthel87822 жыл бұрын
Hi Melanie! I just can't digest raw stuff yet. I'm trying some here and there, but early on after chemo and during chemo it didn't go well. I agree blueberries, all the berries and so many plants are anti-cancer and also prevent the conditions for cancer. Right now I'm just eating most things cooked. But as my body recovers from chemo I'm able to eat a wider variety of food. Hope you're well.

Hi Tara is moringa tea just as good? Hugs to you 🇳🇿🙏
@tarasjourney-lettinginthel87822 жыл бұрын
Hi Melanie! The main difference I would take note of is dosing. A tea, as in herbs that are in a tea bag, are usually not a therapeutic dose. But, I've found some medicinal teas, what I mean is teas that could be brewed by steeping in hot water, as with black tea, that you could cook in simmering water for 15 min or so in order to get the maximum benefit. So, you could decoct it using more bags to get to a therapeutic effect. I am not a moringa expert and do not know what the dosing would be. However in Chinese medicine we dose people at approximately 6 grams per day, but weight becomes a factor as well as what the herbs are for. The 6 grams is for a person around 150lbs. You can certainly take moringa as a tea for general wellness and if you find you need it for something more serious take it up a notch or more. If side effects become too much, dial it down and seek guidance from a professional who can give you individualized instructions.

I feel trapped- I guess that means that I am trapping myself then. Anyway, thank you. Do you drink chaga? I’d love to send you some from my state- Michigan. It helps my stomach, and it is supposed good at fighting cancer too. Once you get over the dirt taste it isn’t so bad. ;) Yay on the all clear! I am happy for you.

Good News and I'm so happy for you. Do you have any tips on how to increase platelets?
@tarasjourney-lettinginthel87822 жыл бұрын
In TCM, we wouldn't break blood down into it's parts, but focus on increasing blood altogether. There are herbs that help and also foods. Foods are green leafy veggies like kale, spinach, collards, bok choy as well as bone broth, particularly from bovines. Herbs are many including e jiao (which is gelatin), dong gui/dong kuai - both sourcable for non-practitioners. I'd also suggest avoiding dry foods such as breads, and baked goods in general (as much as possible) and focus on eating soups or steamed foods. Increase vegetables overall, especially greens. Be aware of gas-causing foods: beans, legumes, nuts, cruciferous family (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower), asparagus. Stick with greens, summer squashes, eggplant. Cook them well for now. When you get away from the gassy foods you'll feel better and then can try to introduce them again and see which are problematic for you. After chemo you might not have to worry about it, but chemo hits the digestive system hard and causes problems for almost everyone. All the best to you.

I am also grateful to be on this side of things and do hope that my story helps others. Looking back, it was really hard. I have a channel that I update every so often. It is basically about my complications after having stomach surgery. I have been meaning to upload a lot. It has been months, but I was waiting for a day when I feel better and have happy news, but that hasn’t happened yet. I paused this video to record a video for my channel because you recorded this. It was messy. There were lots of tears, but it was a relief to talk about how I am not doing well. I am really raw and real in my videos, but didn’t have the strength to go to my truth until now. Thank you so much! You are an inspiration.

I am really interested in seeing how your eating and supplements affect your experience of chemo while on chemo. I have seen a lot of people go vegan, but I find what you are doing and everything that you know about your diet so cool! Do you ever just eat the marrow straight? I should be doing an inflammatory diet for my ailments, but I can’t seem to stick with it. Maybe I will glean some inspiration from you. :)
@tarasjourney-lettinginthel87822 жыл бұрын
The bones/marrow can be roasted, but during & right after chemo eating soups are ideal because they are easy to digest. I think increasing vegetables is important and after chemo and when blood levels are normal raw fruits and veggies are good as long as the digestive system is back on track. Chemo really derails digestion for most people. Raw fruits and vegetables have a cleansing quality, and in my opinion, are good in quantities that work for each individual. If one were to go 100% raw, my suggestion would be to do it as a 'fast' of sorts OR to listen to the body and if it signals that raw is too much, begin to include some cooked food. Everyone is different and I can't predict what each person needs. I do know of someone who was not a chemo candidate, he went vegan, but it didn't work for him and he's still seeking his solution. On the other hand, I know someone who had cancer, went vegan and it saved his life. What works for one, may not work for all. Emotions and past traumas are a major factor in illnesses such as cancer, lupus, ALS, MS and so on - really any of the chronic illnesses.

Hi! If zofran isn’t working then request 8mg tabs if you are on 4 mgs. Also, reglan, tygan are ones that you can take if the zofran alone doesn’t cut it. I usually use a regular motion sickness med if zofran, then I just go up the list to keep trying if it isn’t being managed. I have stomach issues that have me an expert on those drugs. A nausea sommelier if you will. Lol You said in your last video that we will observe the duality of our minds (witness the (me/ego) and the observer is the (self) is the witness. But if that is the case don’t we go back to me as soon as we observe the the ego? Is that the point and being still to nothing is the goal? I hope that makes sense. I hope that you don’t mind me responding for a previous video. I am binge watching you and didn’t want to go back to it. Lol
@tarasjourney-lettinginthel87822 жыл бұрын
Hi Lilly and thank you for commenting! I got the nausea worked out, the third try was the trick and I was able to stick with it (promethazine). I went back to watch the video to see what you were referring to. It's the meditation part and "becoming the witness". In becoming the observer of the mind, you can remain as the observer. I, myself, after 10+ years of doing the work of illuminating the ego, can see the ego at play in anything. It's always there. It's a human construct and is very helpful. Many teachers say that the goal is to get to nothing or escape the ego in some way. But, if it is part of the human construct, is there any escaping it? Another baffler is...Where is the ego? Who says it's real? Is it there? My opinion is the ego is not REAL, but offers a way to name and talk about some aspect of human behavior. And then, could we talk about how naming is false or should we say that naming makes something real-er? Oh, boy, this could go on forever... You might like to take a listen to Alan Watts. For me, I think the goal is to become aware of the "ego" running our lives or running our minds. If I were to say what I think the ego is or is for I'd say it's purpose is to protect us. Have you noticed that the mind is often telling us that something is wrong? It re-runs past stories, which triggers emotions, to warn us of danger. Danger that dating this person could end the way the last one did, or making this purchase could prove foolish, and so on. But the alarm sounds at anything that is similar to the past and there are many things similar to the past, so it becomes problematic at some point, to listen to the ego continue to warn us. We must break free of the past-mind and think clearly, free of any anchors in order to have the say or personal power we wish for. It could be an endless conversation. An interesting one, too. But, best is to put it into practice. If you have emotions (of course you do), ask what they are for, what does this feeling want me to know. And then let the answers arise and ask more questions. The inner YOU (God) will tell you.
