Black Knights are rare Star League relics in the roleplaying game. They have a great reputation on and off the battlefield but you don't see them often. And because they've been rebuilt so many times for so many owners, each one is essentially a unique mech variant. You never really know what kind of Black Knight you're facing until it demonstrates all its attack options on you.

Yo! I love this design. The Jihad is my favourite era of Battletech and the Word of Blake is my favourite faction so I love the Celestial series and getting to see a 'baby' Celestial that pops up in later eras is very cool! I've actually been building a Blessed Order force for use in the Dark Age since my friend plays the Republic of the Sphere and I've got a handful of these and the Uraeus to form the core of my army. They're just such good models with really interesting lore. Your model looks great! I'd be very happy with it if I were you :)

Other _very_ important factors to consider in Alpha Strike: Unlike 'Mechs, Battle Armor does not take an accuracy penalty when jumping. Also, when BA makes a successful physical attack, as long as it does at least 1 Damage, it causes an _automatic_ critical hit. AM is a powerful ability.

In MechWarrior 4 mercs i put 2xER PPC and 2x light Gauss cannons, I split PPC and cannons in 2 groups and fire in shifts to reduce heat load. My fav assault mech!

A good video minus one big issue. The mech wasn't made by the Word of Blake, it was made by the Blessed Order (Comstar Comguard that didn't want to merge with the Republic. This and the Uraeus are pretty much the last gasp of air by Comstar before it's annihilation by the RotS. Now it's not to say the Blessed Order didn't use some WoB tech to make the mech, but it doesn't have the same pilot killing flaws of the Celestials.

One thing I don't like about their Premium Miniatures is that they don't package in an Alpha Strike card and a Pilot Card. The latter is especially true for the unique mechs, like the Grinner. I would have wanted a Phelan Ward pilot card to go with the Rana Kerensky card. They also could have given us a Vlad Ward with the Timber Wolf TC Premium Mech.

Admittedly this vid was from 2019 but I just ordered the beginner box for $47 Australian. Pricey for the content but a good start for refreshing a Battletech collection that started in the 80's

Love the designs. I kinda wish more factions had a visual consistency or theme. Word of *Redacted* comes to mind.

@@ProbableKoz ha, they would but im not sure hooded cloaks make sense on a mech. Personally I like the idea of one faction being so wildly aesthetic while the others do not. Always was a Taurian fan myself but I’m not sure Im ready for bull horns on marauders or minotaur heads on an atlas. That said I love the idea of bayonets, or axe blades on gun arms. Ran out of ammo? Resort to MechFu with some proper weapons. Chicken walker legs? Lets put sone talons on those toes, that should help DFAs or even just rough terrain. Besides the idea of a catapult, shredding the top of an enemy mech with its toes would make a very dynamic kitbash.

What programs do you use for all this adobe? I had started a channel of my own but I am really struggling to bring it up to standard and have no background in graphics design or video effects

So I use Final Cut Pro for my video editing and that's really it. I cut, edit, and do all special fx in Final Cut. For this video and a few earlier Spotlights, I used plugins from a few different 3rd party providers. Last year I attempted and started to work on creating my own plugins in Apple Motion, but quickly lost interest because of "Reasons". I know when I started this channel, I wanted to have a higher production value than channels that I watched. I had not seen channels like Tex/Black Pants Legion or TableTopTactics which had already surpassed what I wanted to do. I often felt like what my intention or vision of a video was couldn't match up to what I personally could do. And once I stopped seeing growth on the channel my enthusiasm waned, which combined with the pandemic and depression, was all she wrote. Even though this channel was just a hobby, not feeling like I was getting better at it using the metrics available, crushed me. I do want to do more videos, I just don't know where to start now. My best suggestion is to learn the tools you have, master them, put out content that makes you happy, don't chase trends, and never pigeonhole yourself creatively. I hope this helps.

I definitely know the king crab is probably one of the best Mechs I love to play as and by far a good Mech for teaming up with atlases

I looked up the COM-1A and GLD-1R. I can't see the commando winning unless it outnumbered the Gladiator at least 2:1. The commando costs about half a gladiator, so maybe that's what happened.

I never had the Constructicons, I think they were too expensive for my parents. My friend around the corner did have them, we definitely played a lot with them.
