In my gamer group we call this little fella the Warcrime

It's a fair nickname.

I play morally and think about the ramifications of my actions. I think it adds a fun layer to the games I play.

Same here. I can't even get negative karma in Fallout: New Vegas....!

I love this mech. When I get one I want to sculpt it using the flamer. Also I like the idea of having morality when you play.

Nah, you're not odd. I think about similar things when in such situations on the tabletop, but I tend look at them in a more humorous light before engaging in the depravity.

Will you ever get the Kurita Omni that has a flamer and a katana?

Koz, you absolute LEGEND.

Morality, Schorality...it's a game, screw the wild life... The cockpit window is in an atypical location too btw, it's usually the slit between the yellow and silver/grey.

Not gonna lie, this mini's sculpt did not age well at all. The omnimech Firestarter might be a decent proxy for it though. also, war crimes are fun

I try and put myself into the position of the characters running around and fighting, I won't do awful stuff unless it's something that faction or character would do.

Could I ask a favor of you could we get a 360 video of high quality of your battletech figures for MW5M
@ProbableKoz4 жыл бұрын
I know this is going to sound sacrilegious, but I don't own MW5. Once it pops on Steam it'll be a done deal.

Mechwarrior rpg, should allow for contextual reflection of ethics. It is great for deeper games than just blowing up giant robots.

I haven't been able to get a game of the RPG in. But that makes sense that the RPG would account for that. Maybe I should pick up the RPG book.

I have just started playing the game with my son, who has many hours of dnd. We will now begin exploring the epic scope of Mechwarrior, from the more personal aspects of the common folks. We will start with, the Mackie and what it must have been like being targeted by the powers that controlled such fire power. Then playing into generational leaps through the star league and succession wars. I will be sure to kill him and his friends, but making plenty of opportunities for any and every player to be remembered as heroes in further games. I am certain we will diverge often from established, lore but I will try to keep as much of the major drum beats as I can. I hope you find a great game, and a group focused more on story than combat. Combat is where every action movie climaxes, however the best make you care about the climactic moment, by infusing characters you root for, and villians you,, beg to see slain in the most graphic of ways, or leaving them emotionally confused, via ethical choices. Good luck. Ps. I love the mech reviews and the fact that they are painted.

I've never used either Firestarter. We almost never use PBI (poor bloody infantry) so bringing a Firestarter has never been worth it. Without PBI flamers are the biggest waste of weapons in the game, at least the Fluid Gun can switch off its inferno gel to something else. A lot of that has to do with the external heat scale not going over a certain amount. The game prevents me from running a company of Firestarters to shut peoples mechs down. I can seperate game from reality. A lot of people can. Otherwise the ACTUAL horror of Warhammer 40k Tyranids or Dark Eldar would stop people from playing them in the game. Fun war story (no Awesomes were involved): My friend was playing in a campaign as OP FOR against one, I think he said he lost most of two battalions of infantry. However when the firestarter went down he had his remaining infantry hunt down and murder the pilot before it could run off the board. Morals go out the window when you can take revenge for your buddies being burned alive. "My wallet cries each time I do a video." pft, please. Battletech is literally one of the cheapest miniature games to get into. A IWM firestarter is like, 10 USD (I know that sentence is supposed to be a joke but I play Warhammer 40k/AoS).

If they are shooting/fighting you then ok to burn them. Civilians/non combatants then hell no.
