a few critical things everyone who think they are pros with diy cvt service make mistakes with. 1-YOU MUST open the clutch every single service to remove clean and regrease all parts. because there is a LONG inerval of 18000km between service, it is too long and MUST BE OPENED AND CLEANED AND REGREASED. 2 seals checked and 2 bearings to clean and regrease. 2-if you have stock rollers there is a closed side and an open side. u make sure to put the closed side of the roler with it to the right, turn the holder and put another one in with the closed side to the right. 3-very amateur mistake #3 you didnt push the belt deep enough into the pulley on the clutch. that will cause you to tighten the front finned pulley on the bolt and not the crankshaft arm. you may have an issue with it coming loose while youre driving. big mistake 4-amateur for sure. not closing down the bolt with a torque wrench. big big big mistake. 5-sanding the bell should be done perpendicular to the clutch at 90º for the best "bite" NOT side to side like he did. you should sand short wall, not long round face. 90º invest in a variator tool holder and use a torque wrench. use the dimples to hold it still another tip. use ANTISEIZE cream on the edge of the cvt cover for easy removal next time. very bad information on youtube. be careful people! very bad tutorial video.

Great video! Love the music, who is it? Thought about buying a Sym 600i (I used to have a Burgman 650) but not many sold here in the UK. Are they reliable? Quality? Are they fun? I hope Chad wasn't too badly injured. It looked like he and the bike were very lucky. Ride safe, guys.

iniakpmarc28 hey there. Sorry no 600 sold over here so unsure about it. He was ok btw except for some abrasions n cuts. :)

I'm 16. I was considering to get a bike when I'm older to travel to school and probably to NS since my family car coe probably ain't gonna be renewed. My parents were very strict about riding motorcycles and after much consideration, I decided I'll get a zzr1200 with 3-4 years left in the future. Until I saw this video. Maybe I'll stick to public transport
@adiknaim8 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry if my video put you off riding but that wasn't my intention. Trust me i love riding and encourage many to try it as the most entertaining form of transport. but just keep it mind risk you are taking whenever you swing your leg over the saddle. as long as you keep that in mind & know your limits, you will be fine. i have never had an accident b4 this. this just serves as a reminder to riders out there your life could change in a split second. take care & have a nice day ;)

+Muhammad Naim guess it depends on experience also. Like when I was younger, I always crash in a bicycle. From 2013 till now, not once have I crash and I was riding like a huge ass hole

All nice and well explained, but one thing your doing wrong. Before puting the variator drive face, you should squeeze the belt, so it gets deeper between the clutch plates. Doing so, the belt is loose at the other end. The variator drive face can be installed in one move after that. Best regards!
@adiknaim9 жыл бұрын
yup this was my first time. doing your method means u can tighten it in one go. mine works but just takes more times.

I just bought a new maxsym 400i abs. really liked your videos it made me very exited to get it already and begin riding.. any tips for owning a maxsym?
@adiknaim9 жыл бұрын
the clutch is very susceptible to glazing, leading to vibrations n noises. so avoid slow traffic. if need be, throttle more aggressively n avoid maintaining the throttle at the clutch biting point. the rest is simple. just follow recommended maintenance schedule n it should be fine. it is quite a tough scoot.
