That is not a canal, it is the River Lea. A sizable number of the residents on the canal boats that now line the bank would like to see the rowing activities stopped. This is because Rowing training for working adults has to take place in the early hours of the morning and at weekends. The new residents object to the voices of the coaches and coxes disturbing their peace and quiet.
