Amazing video. A quick question, how do you trim H125? For somehow FTR is not working in MFS2024, since I have a normal joystick it's quite painful to fly H125 with consistent pressure on the joystick.

By the way, in 2024, even when there's not a parking spot defined, you can click on the ground and ask to start "shut down" or "ready for takeoff" - another small, but welcome, improvement over 2020.

It's great to see another post from you! I have a lot of respect for your videos - keep going please! I recently posted a "busy Monday evening on VATSIM" in the Cowan R66 but that was on MSFS2020. I've done one buggy, but fun, video in the 2024 Cabri. I'll enjoy seeing 2024 grow from here. It's possible I may never sign into 2020 again!

Cowan was never involved, this is the most true to right representation of h-125 in any sim in terms of of 3d model, the flight dynamic model is 2nd best after dreamfoil from xplane

Hardware utilization of 2024 is 10 times better. Helicopters finally behaves like helicopters, I'm very impressed. I can finally enjoy GotFriends Mini 500!! As with 2020 they released this sim in a very early state, we get to be beta testers now for years to come sadly... The Career is a mess, constantly getting dinged for doing things wrong because its broken and buggy, its still kinda fun but yeah, frustrating, and getting treated like an airplane in a helicopter is not fun. Granted, sometimes airports will treat helicopters like planes for different reasons, it does happen.

Even though I want to fly it, after taking off it freezes around itself and crashes to the ground. How did you adjust the joystick settings on the helicopter?

Yeah, it took a long time setting up the controls. As I mentioned I couldn't find the collective axis among the primary flight blabla of the helicopter. I'd say the collective is pretty primary 😂. Anyway I changed the menu language to english and then used the search function to find the collective axis. You may have to revert the axis...hope that helps

@@directorofawesomeness1107 Hi there. Couldn't say. I never used a virpil product. Still using the OE-XAM and so far never had issues with it. I had to mount it to a wooden block to have it at an appropriate height. And it's a B206 replica so if You want to go full HOCAS You might run out of buttons and switches...

Are you following CARs or § 91.159? I've been researching VFR lately, but § 91.159 sounds a bit goofy. I don't quite understand the purpose or application of it and when it needs to be followed.

@@RotatingBombWithADogOnIt Not sure whether it's mandatory or not but You can use this rule as a quasi separation-scheme between VFR-birds. The + 500 is to keep You out of the way of commercial traffic. Anyway as I'm usually flying below 3000 feet AGL I don't use it much. If you're controlled by ATC You have to follow the given altitude restrictions which will usually give You ranges (i.e. not above/below)

Try the Oh-6 mod by Tobsten&Eightball. Most fun helicopter in DCS.

@@blasterml Thx, I already tried it but found it to be a pain. Very fidgety and hard to control. Feels like they based it on a FM that simulates a 2-bladed Rotorsystem. The OH6 has a fully articulated RS IRL and reacts very direct to control Inputs. Brett Sumpters freeware MD500D in XP11 does a great job I think. Maybe I could tweak my controls a little bit and make it more enjoyable but then again...enjoying the Kiowa and looking forward to the Bo105

I fly the real 109SP and I must say from the previews I’ve seen so far this is very accurately modelled. Even sounds pretty much the same, but then I use ANR headsets so does dampen out much of the noise. BTW you can also tell if your U/C is down by not only the gear lights but also on the PFD in the centre you will see 3 in-line dots. Yes you correct…..always fly with AP1 and 2 engaged……in real life it’s more unstable then what I saw in your demo.

Strange enough there are some rotor sim pilots like me who prefer to fly without the SAS autopilot mode. On my extended joystick, the controls felt spot one in terms of sensitivity. I had the x-rotor A109 model for Xplane 11, enjoyed it alot. But abandoned the addon when I upgraded to Xplane 12, and this model seems to look alot better than x-rotor's A109 in some ways. Yet it's my opinion, and I have not even flown the B412 from x-trident either. But will pickup this model at a later stage :) Thanks for the brief review.

Agree. I don't like the feel of SAS either. But flying without in in this bird and the EC35 is simply pain. Also when doing long haul flights, say above 1 hr, I prefer an afcs. Thx for your input...

Please note the point of view in the real one is maybe 10 cm higher but the panel would be half out of sight - the VR POV is on spot
