Blimey, I'm 51 and about to have my first kyukoshin lesson in two days...I've held off starting for a few years as I was worried about my age and injuries, but seeing that 78 year old get his 1st dan just goes to show dun it...If I ever start to doubt myself, I'll just think of him...

Wow it's great to see and learn about Monma Dojo and you Sakura! Amazing video, I love the Garyu kata too. I also really love katas that use a lot of shuto's tecniques! Unfortunately, I can't use the X right now, it's been restricted by lawsuits here in Brazil 😞

I am 49 and have been training in Kyokushin for a year. I pray and hope my body can hold up for me to be able to one day complete the black belt test trials. I know my age is a factor but I try to keep in the best possible shape. Does anyone have any tips for me to be able to continue my journey in Kyokushin and keeping my body strong

Respect for the people taking this exam, but Thumbs Down for the organizators, that's too much. Even the army does not demand this much. You get full 100 points if you can do 80 push-ups and 80 sit-ups.

Very inspirational. I'm taking my Kyokushin Shodan test this Saturday. I dont know how it's going to go. The 10 rounds of Kumite will be tough but I'm going to try my best. This video has me fired up. Osu!
