Never saw a "planko" before! 😮 I studied the snails a bit and I believe that species is "Pomacea Maculata" or "Island Apple Snail", which seems to be the most common of the four main invasive species. That flat trapdoor piece of the shell is called the "Operculum". Nice bowfin and nice gar! 👍

@@melereef6294 nice bro!!!! I’m from NJ originally! We use 20 pound braid with a 4” 20 lb flouro leader. As for hook size. It depends on the size of the bait. For store bought live shiners I wouldn’t go bigger than 1/0 - for some big wild caught baits, you can go up to 4/0. My favorite hook is the Owner mutu light weight offset circle hook
