Remembering that we are what we are and what happens to us can put us in places we never would have come to had everything happened according to our own plans. Her father made the most of it.

Read a book not too long ago. If I remember the title correctly, it was cay, Before We Were Yours. It was based on what happened in the US at one point in time. Children were basically stolen from their families and adopted to people that were "better" parents. Of course, if those children were young, they're not even going to remember their birth family.

DNA joke: DNA was once introduced to an American Czech who refused it categorically by saying, "Look, I was born in the Europe and in a small town and even on my visit there I refused to take a DNA test, all because the clinic is run by foreigners who base their findings on data from North America, UK, Europe and elsewhere, only to find out that I'm, say, Irish....

Here in a Mormon community who adopt a lot of children, I met two or three who didn't find until years they had been adopted. Until just a few years ago has their been a push where the adoption agencies cannot keep them confidential even from the adoptees. Knowing your DNA is important for medical reasons because so many diseases are inherited. If raised by loving parents, it makes no difference, the adoptees realise they wouldn't have changed a thing. Some biological parents would have raised the kids in frightening situations.

21 year retired Army NCO, same age as this Marine. The writers must be running out of material. Early boarding does not require a document or even a note on a form. It is just being allowed to board earlier.

Also, those guy, people, man and women shoe respect the veterans for the war to live their life forever, but there is Ricardos and on our life that we try to give our life for them, but they don’t understand that because they’re not evil but most of them don’t understand at all Because they are they’re better. They are fucked this battle and earn our freedom for them. We give a brother and life and Feders that died for them. Just don’t understand that when they said what are they gonna do and look at us and downgrade us well let him down, downgrade us and future is they will fight your own battle then they’re not gonna come and ask for help. Let him figure that out technology a different way, but we are the old folks old dogs that we survive and die for the freedom of them they understand that at all I quote bye

I use to work with a young man who was so cute and had blondish brown hair with a little curl. I hadn't thought about it but his last name sounded Asian. He was getting married and I was invited to the wedding. I was in for a shock as everyone there was unmistakably ASIAN.....straight black hair and eyes. I kept my mouth shut but when I returned to work I had to ask the office manager about it as she had been long time friends with the family. I guess this had been a long term issue that was very touchy within the family, especially with the mother. She loved her blondish, curly haired baby, and was not going to ever give him up. She said she had never been attacked or had an affair and he was the product of her and husband. None of their other children looked like him at all, they were Asian. I absolutely believe this child was switched in the hospital and think everyone who gets to know them, realizes it as well. The differences are extremely obvious. I know the mother loves her blondish, curly headed boy, but it makes me wonder about her birth child and the way it was treated by it parents.

It doesn’t matter what uniform he is wearing, these stories with pictures are just a fill in, the story is about how someone came to realise that the world is not about themselves but about other people and what they are going through, and how finally they came to realise what they were missing in life. Stay safe my friends, Chow.

NEVER EVER had anyone insult me for my military Service, except some stupid "Hippies" in Atlanta... and I can ASSURE YOU they still remember that MISTAKE. I volunteered to serve our Nation, and so did my Dad and a number of my Family members! Those "Hippies" did not even realize they had "Freedom" to live life the way they wanted... BECAUSE of our Military..!! But those "Hippies" understood a LOT after that encounter, about simple Manners, and HOW they had the freedom to live so STUPIDLY. But I explained to them that I ALSO HAVE FREEDOM! and if THEY could express THEIR opinion by SPITTING ON ME... the I could also "EXPRESS MY OPINION" about their assumed right to Spit on a US MARINE Training Instructor !! I simply showed them some of the things I TRAINED MARINES to do BEFORE going into a combat zone...and those IDIOTS thought THEY were in a COMBAT ZONE that evening... But generally I am Very Friendly and out-going, and just don't give others any reason to bother me... BUT IF THEY DO... they see a different part of who I am... also as a former EMT,,, I sometimes tease that I know how to SAVE a LIFE... or to TAKE one... (-;

One has to wonder how many children were mistakenly switched in the way of Alice's father. How many lives were changed in ways we'll never know where children were denied their rightful heritage.

The past is exactly that….THE PAST! All the tears and frustration won’t help one bit! Everyone makes mistakes, some minor, some major. Yes it is a shame, but you can’t change it! What a rabbit warren Alice dove down into. Her new knowledge has created some new relationships and I hope she enjoys them. I think she should write a book about it, and maybe see if there are similar stories like hers out there. I would definitely buy THAT book!

When I had my son in 1989 I went to the nursery to get him. The nurse who seemed too busy to bother with me said he’s there everyone knows their own baby, but I didn’t because I hadn’t got to hold him for very long after his birth. Anyway, I went over to all these babies but I panicked because I couldn’t see which one was mine. On the verge of tears I asked which one is he?? She finally said this is him, but for years I kept wondering if he really was mine. When he got older and started to have his dad’s mannerisms I realised he is mine, by now he was about 13-14 and walked like his dad so I finally knew.
