My daughters attend a private school and I used to be blown away by all the different luxury handbags the moms were carrying. Literally changing them daily...weekly. until. I was invited to a purse party and their "purse lady" was there selling ALL luxury bags for $150 to $300. All you had to do was show her the one you wanted from ANY brands website and she would have it for you within a week or two. *suluxy* My mind was literally blown away.

Yes, Americans are really in love with Japan. From my experience, Americans and other Anglo people tend to see other human beings in tiers. For Americans it's Germans, British and Japanese who are the almost equal to them on a civilisation level. The rest of us are lower. So for example, currently so many Americans worship WW2 German military (even the paramilitaries) because those are seen as almost as civilised as them and Japanese are seen as the 'civilised' of Asia. I don't mean this is a negative way to Americans, but weebs and Wehraboos exist. Maybe it's also because so many Yanks came back from (West) Germany and Japan when they served in bases there, but even in WW2, American GIs had more respect for the Germans than for many of their allies, although we know there was no respect for Japanese and that appeared later. When it comes to others, it's more varied. For example it's still acceptable in many circles in America to make "POLACK" jokes. Anyhow that's my take.

What do you say about bilingual? When kids learn two (sometimes 3) languages at the same time while understanding things. I think this is the coolest way to start language learning. As i found out myself, after 3rd language you start to see connections and similarities in languages (especially european ones).

I usually save most of the unknown words I stumble across while reading, watching, or listening. I add all(or almost all) definitions, examples, synonyms, images. And then l learn them.
