I’m just wondering. Is there any body who listen to our music if we just send it to a royalty free library, or it will be just the number 124.576 music file on a big server ? 😳

It’s getting interesting with AI , Suno and Udio are now being sued by major record companies for training AI with copywrited music. Composing music with a prompt is just a scam and I hope it will die out quickly. In some cases AI is great, used as a tool to master for example, it can set a good starting point to build on. AI isn’t good or bad, it depends on what it’s used for and how it is used. I like watching your videos , it keeps me motivated in a sea full of content creators who tell you to give up because it’s oversaturated or AI will take over everything.

If you think about it, composing music with a prompt is not a scam. This sounds pretty boomer, reminds me of boomers that said things like "Deejays are not musicians", "making music with a computer is not making music", "who uses a computer to make music is not a musician/artist" because we're not using an "analogic" instrument. To those people, us producers who use plug-ins, DAW's, samples and stuff are cheaters. To use AI for music, and have some good results, you gotta have some music expertise. If someone who doesn't know anything about music puts a prompt, the outcome will be something awful. You have to know how to exactly put the prompt, and even after the prompted track is delivered, if you want to keep it you definitely will have to work on it. AI for now is only a tool to use just like many other that we use. I myself use it for voices, since I'm terrible at singing and I don't have money to pay singers, and I don't see anything that bad about it. These are tools that are given to us, and let's face it, AI is the future.

@@M.G.Records_it”boomer” 😂 wtf you talking about, first of all I’m not a boomer, second, what would my age have to do with my way of thinking about music? Music still isn’t putting words into a computer and then saying I made a song, I’m sorry you think that has anything to do with music. It is absolutely obvious that every song generated from Ai is as of today just a mash up of existing songs made by artists, Ai just got trained with them, that’s why major labels are going to court. As I said in my post before (that you don’t seem to have properly read) Ai can be great if used as a tool for certain things! Don’t start a discussion based on the age of ppl, it’s about the perception ppl have on music. It’s NOT making music if you put in words and a computer makes a song for you. I’m sorry but it has nothing to do with the process of making music at all. It’s like saying a book written by chat gpt is a real book because you swapped out a sentence here and there.

@@Dan-nu6pi I didn't mean to call YOU a boomer. I was just comparing your comment to many comments I heard from boomers in my years in music. I was born from musician boomer parents, and I have countless fights with my father about what's "real" music and "fake" music, he used to think that if you didn't pick an instrument you weren't making music, he was the type of guy that'd say that rap isn't music because rappers don't usually study solmizations and stuff... And the many comments I hear against AI made music sound to me just like that. Suno and Udio are now going to court because they trained their AI on existing music apparently without paying copyrights, that's all about it, and of course AI is based on humans and made by humans, it doesn't create itself (not yet at least). Personally, I still produce my own music by myself because I enjoy creating music piece by piece and see my creations come to life, but I don't see anything so evil and threatening in AI tools like many musicians brag.

Just a note on adding hyperlinks to youtube short videos, please add them as the first comment on your video and youtube will keep your comment first in the list for viewers to see, but you'd have to enable comments on your short videos. Hola Daniel!... Saludos!

You're a great teacher man and you are very generous with imparting your knowledge and experience. Thanks so much. I have a question. How do you title your edits? Do you call them, say, [song A title] 60-second edit, [song A title] 30-second edit, etc. Or do you make entirely new names for your edits?

I hate MusicVine's subscription model. As a video creator I wanted to subscribe to MusicVine because there were several tracks that I wanted to use. I didn't want to pay for the annual plan as I was only going to use them for maybe 1 or 2 months. So, I decided to go with their "monthly plan." At checkout, right when I was about to click "pay" I saw a disclaimer in small print saying that by purchasing the monthly plan I would be locked into an annual plan. This meant that If I were to cancel at anytime before the year's end I would be forced to still pay the rest of the year even though I wouldn't be using them anymore. I don't understand how that can even be considered a "monthly plan" if I'll be forced to pay the full annual amount. So, please beware if you think you'll be able to use them for one month only and then cancel.

hi. thanks for all your videos. i am a music producer and have my music already on artlist and other companies. however, i am thinking about to sell licenses directly to youtube or movie-creators. my idea is to setup a website where ppl can contact me and get access to tracks of mine. it seems that i could handle the youtube content ID/whitelisting youtube channels with "Identifyy" but what about contracts? what are the pitfalls? do you know any resources where i can educate myself about it or can you make a video about it? thanks

BTW if you use Google Translate (with Chrome browser) then you can navigate the website in English. Thanks for the video!

hi, I want to ask about how you promote your music/song to be found in youtube so everyone can use your song. Because as far as I know, if we put in audiojungle, it will be "watermark" heard in the audio. However, from your example, when someone using your audio, they put your song without any audio "watermark". Where they can get your clean audio? do you make specific channel to promote your song on youtube or identifyy have tools to do so? thanks for your answer

Hi Daniel, I'm a bit confused about this. What if somebody buys your music from say, Pond5, and then uses it on their KZbin channel, won't Identifyy try to get royalties from them even though they bought your music royalty free?

Daniel, I agree with what you are saying about AI music. I see it as a tool that can help me help with certain aspects of the music but not be the music itself. Back in the 70´s when I played in a band there was just three of us on guitars and we used a drum machine. People said way back then that these would take over from drummers, that you wouldn´t need them anymore. Here we are over 40 years later and there are still drummers. When I write a song I do have to admit when I listen to my vocals they do not always match the sound I have in my head, whether I want a more gritty voice or even a female voice, but now using AI as a tool I can take my vocals and get them to sound whatever style of voice I want them to sound using AI. But I still have to create the vocals in the first place so I am only using AI as a tool, just like 40 odd years ago we used a drum machine. Un video bueno mi amigo, ojala tu haces muchas mas!
