it has been over 5 months !!! Hope you doing good ? you get more power with compression at 11 to 1 and proper cam ,shorty headers down low 5 K and just clean up stock headers ! BTW i would not use that oil guard under the manifold it will mess up your push rods ,you need a lot of clearance ! Best bet is to go with a new design manifold that has a space in-between !

This guy knows his shit when building engines. That torque figure is *WELL* OVER the guidelines that David Vizard sets for engines, which is 1.4lb-ft per cubic inch at 10:1 _at the crank._ Most "builders" (Vizard calls them assemblers cuz that's all they do and they don't actually KNOW squat) struggle to even get 1.3 lb-ft per cubic inch, if they're lucky (not counting modern DOHC engines which already have most of the work done/close enough for them).

Nice Chevelle. I have 69 Camaro Big block 630hp. I tried the Borla pro xs 3'' mufflers. At idle they sounded good. Once I got on the car they were very loud and slightly raspy. I switched them out for Hooker Max flow 3''. The sound is deeper (larger case) then the Borla, not quite as raspy but, still very loud when you get on it. I've tried Dynomax Ultra flows and Pypes race pro and yes Flow master FX. All have that raspy glass pack sound when you get on it. Pypes being the worse. When I have the car idling you can see fiberglass particles blowing out of all of them. As far as I'm concerned they all sound like oversized glasspacks. Not a fan. I like the sound of chamber mufflers or, turbo mufflers the best..but I get the whole HP loss thing. Driving around town, cruises nights, car shows, stop sign to stop sign,.. I doubt you're going to feel a major Hp loss difference. At the track a different story.

I want to make this model the first addition of my premium 1/18 scale cars. I just got my first nice-ish model car, which is a Greenlight IndyCar, and I love how the GTE looks. It is quite beutiful, and I love it.

Legendary yellow corvettes in endurance racing kings for years. I'm looking to add the budget version c5r from 2001 which was the 24 Hour of Daytona with Sr. and Jr. piloting. Watching back on Earnhardt Sr. footage, you could see the confidence and feel he had for the car taking it deep into turns on the wet track while still maintaining control. Sadly he passed away a few weeks later. It would have been great to see him do more road and endurance racing after retiring from Nascar.

I understand why they're not included, but the Marlboro branding (and other tob/alc brands on other cars) are part of the look and history of the liveries and definitely a needed addition to make these complete! Got some in the mail to add to mine. The indy cars with Player's and KOOL also being iconic.

Sorry if someone already said this but: I wonder why not make a switch inside the car and label it to turn the different cooling charge solinoids? So he wouldn’t have to pull over and pop the hood.

A simple valve or solenoid in the car would make it much easier to switch the meth source rather than pulling over and popping the hood etc.

How did u tune the idle fuel trims? I adjusted the corresponding ve table for where idle was and it's still pulling the same amount of fuel.
@SS454LS6
@SS454LS6 19 күн бұрын
Mostly through the AFR targets. Idle is almost worthless to try and fine tune since there is no load, inconsistent idle, etc. IMO, I would lean it out to a happy point and move on.

Nice build, Big bloch Chevy's are tough as nails. I have 67 stock 390hp bored, 12.5 to 1 forged pistons, Hp big rectangle heads, blueprinted and balanced, and a Crane Fireball cam! Put it in a restored 85 full size Blazer 4x4, a 700 R4 tranny, 4:11 gears, and 35 " tires, awesome truck, lockers front and rear! Love it!

Sorry, there is no possible way this is a street car making 1100hp all motor. That would require a gigantic drag roller cam and 16:1 compression and spin motor to 8k rpm. Dont lie to people. You are not supposed to run drag cams on the street, but lots do, but they dont last cause your valvetrain gets hammered. A true street car is one that can last years with little to no maintenance, drive in traffic, drive thru's, idle in fwy traffic, drive on fwy, cruise to grocery store. Drive continuously on street for hrs and not overheat. Be durable and reliable year after year after year and not break. Driving a car to McDonalds and back to your garage is not a street car. Constantly adjusting lash every few months is not really a street car....etc
