I use a 53-year-old Bolens garden tractor to plow my driveway. wouldn't know it broke down on the first plowable snow we had ... first time it failed me, had to order a coil online which took 3 days to get so the old shovel method had to work , didn't do my back much good ...take care Chris , enjoy the videos

Sunshine on snow really reflects. Sounds like you are having the winter we usually have. 12° below, and no snow here. I usually have to play in snow, and still might, but not much so far. I wouldn't be surprised to hear about broken pipes . Snow is good insulation around here. Thank you Chris.

@dehavenfamilyfarm10 күн бұрын
@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin I really wanted a machine with the angle blade, but the dealer only had 2 straight blade machines left. This was the end of 2019 before the world went nuts so I am happy I bought it anyway. 0 degrees here today..

Too bad you can't angle the blade with the Mini-ex to handle the wind-row a little more efficiently. I had to use our back blade on our little 40 year old 2 wheel drive Kubota tractor. It struggled in 14 inches of snow in Western Arkansas. Angling the blade made it a little easier. Unfortunately, our bigger Kubota Grand L 3550 was down with a front tire and we didn't get the tire back in time.
@dehavenfamilyfarm10 күн бұрын
@jimmcknight3021 yes, it is unfortunate. I purchased this machine in the end of 2019. The dealer only had 2 left and they were both straight blade machines. So it was that or nothing lol Thanks!
@jimmcknight302110 күн бұрын
@dehavenfamilyfarm OK, I thought that i had seen someone with an adjustable blade before, but i thought maybe I was dreaming up that option. LOL STAY WARM. Very cold in Arkansas.

A GC 30 is a monster. My version with the same trailer and tires is a Baumalight 7.5 kw. I power it with a 1980 Bolens G174, running the pto in second gear, which allows it to hit 60 hz and send up to 30 amps to the generator panel in the house at a relatively leisurely engine speed.. The 21 hp Kubota uses more than twice the fuel because it has to run at 2500 to do the same job.

You’re seriously going to blame them for YOUR poor installation of the doors and for being able to see spray foam you did yourself? 😂. Classic case of you getting what you paid for. They are designed as storage units or coverings not “ shops”.
@dehavenfamilyfarm17 күн бұрын
@jasoncardoza6375 the point to that statement was that you shouldn't see spray foam. The frame outs for the doors were way out of square and in the case of that particular door, the dimensions were way off as well. A door installer shouldn't have to waste tons of extra time because the framer was so careless.
@nonshlnt17 күн бұрын
Chris, do you plow or move snow with your New Holland? I was thinking about getting a tractor with a snowblower attachment but worried about not having a cab cover. Would that be an issue with blowing snow? It would not be fun to be covered in snow while snow blowing during a snowstorm.
@dehavenfamilyfarm17 күн бұрын
@nonshlnt yes I have. I used to have a 6' snowblower for the three point hitch. If it was windy, and the snow was fluffy, you did have to be careful where you blew the snow so it didn't come back on you. If it wasn't windy or the snow was wet, it wasn't really a concern. Mine did have a hydraulic chute on it so if it was windy you could change direction quickly.
