I rewatched the game and Jakobe left Tyler Herro wide open repeatedly. Lots of mistakes. Re- Watch for yourself. Im pumped about JaKobe and we know his defense will improve. But against Miami...Darko yanked him because he was continually leaving Herro open.

Both the Magic & Cavs have very soft SOS compared that with Raptors with the hardedt SOS w/ half the team's key players injured, including SB for most of the gms. While Franz is playing well it is Magic's D especially the double big line up with Wendell & Gogo are the star. I expect to see not the same rate of wins in December going into the new year as the schedule get tougher even w/ Paolo's return. Lucky for them the last 2 gms KCP seems to turn a corner and playing well. Of the 12 wins they have only 2 teams, Phoenix & Lakers are above .500 & they beat Phoenix w/ o KD & Beal.

RJ dioes not bend the defense like Scottie. He is not the better playmaker & decisuon maker like SB He us just the better scorer at the rim. That's it. SB's game impact wins more than RJ. I like RJ but there is more to basket ball than scoring even on offense.
@KellyQ8 сағат бұрын
RJ is ultra more efficient than Scottie on the offensive side of the ball. Scottie has him beat on defence. RJ is just ultimately more reliable - its as clear as day
@mollyweir93506 сағат бұрын
@@KellyQ RJ ultra efficient? Look at RJ's efficiency stats when Scottie was out. RJ is a play finisher more than a play creator. His efficiency is higher when he is not the #1 option. Of course that happens to SB at times last season prior to Pascal trade but his efficiency has been solid as a #1 option. And even when he has a bad shooting gm his ft rate and makes offset that as opposed to RJ. Also Barnes gm impacts wins more than RJ's. Please do your research before commenting.
@alborzbohloli431210 сағат бұрын
I would prefer to think that the fact that you brought up RJ being the number one option over Scotty is just a click bait and rage beats. How would you in your right mind suggest such a bad take. RJ is not a number one option his vision is limited, does not have a consistently point shot, does not play defence, and in terms of measurement he is nowhere near Scotty Barnes. You were not winning with RJ as the number one option but you’re winning with Scotty as the number one option when he came back.. since I know you guys are educated enough to watch the games you would know this is not even a question as who is the number one option. And you talk about development of Scotty Barnes and he’s not at the RJ level right now.?! he is already better than RJ can ever be.. you guys are making the same mistake as before, Pascal was not a number one option and just because he was putting up points doesn’t mean that he’s a number one option so it is the exact same situation with RJ

No, its just his opinion based on a very healthy sample size of games. I'm a huge RJ fan and thankful for his immense contribution and consistent composure on and off the court. Its natural to question whether he "could" be considered the #1 scoring option on this team (statistically he has been so far this season). We should be lucky that we have two players this great that we are even able to have this conversation. RJ and Poetl are the only reasons we've competed so hard and games have been so close. Go Raps!
@MannyB-b7l2 сағат бұрын
Will stated that Scottie is the better player, hence why I'm confused with your comment. Will also said that because Scottie had missed a bunch of games, RJ was forced to be the driver of the offense. Nothing wrong with that. Even prior to the season, most people expected RJ to score more points than Scottie. It doesn't make him the better player. So I have no issues with saying RJ has been the number one option when you need a basket. It's not a diss on Scottie.
@nikolai786110 сағат бұрын
D. Mitchell has earned in these past few games to get more minutes, not necessarily a starting role--especially when Dick and Quickly returns. Obagi should play a smaller role...unless he gets streaky. Shead needs to go down to the 905 and see whether he or Chomche will foul out during a shift. Concerning stat: turnovers

I have to say JaKobe Walter had a really bad defensive game with many mistakes. I rewatched the game focusing on Jakobe's defensive play and he left Tyler Herro alone again and again and again. Re watching the game it became very obvious why he was yanked in favor of Davion. He will learn but in this game he was totally confused guarding Herro.

Guys are actually getting to main issue with Scottie’s offense. Since he doesn’t have the required skill set to be a big time scorer, he has 2 issues: 1. He has no game plan on how to get his game off 2. He currently feeds off of scorers to get his game off with a catch and shoot 3s
@mollyweir93503 күн бұрын
RJ needs to use the same energy on defense that he use on offense. Defense is more thab physical prowess it is amount attention to detail, want to & putting time to watch film.
@mollyweir93503 күн бұрын
Miami only average 102pts this season & Raps allowed 121 pts to them courtesy of Darko's inept coaching in the 2nd half. Terrible rotations to start the 3Q & giving Boucher too many minutes tonight. Failed to prepare for Spo's adjustments in the 2nd half. Even I knew at hslf time they were going to double SB to get the ball out his hands & ramp up their physicality. Defending the 3pt in 2nd half was teribble. Letting Barnes forced him to challenge an offensive foul so early in the game was bad.

They are working together, which counts, because players in the 905 do not interact with high caliber opponents. Hopefully, they will establish themselves as a unit. One has to wonder what players don't fit and will become expendable in a trade before the next draft. There's no point in bringing a big name to fill some void, because the injurying of team chemistry will upset what they are currently building.
