I guess Darko being a second year coach is also developing just like the rest of the young core. Mistakes happen. Just wish he had a more experience coaching staff, maybe coaches that have been there before

Anyone criticizing Darko is an airhead that should follow a new sport to follow. The amount of internal development on this team is astounding. I can’t name a player that has regressed under Darko and on the contrary, several players have taken enormous steps forward. (Scottie may be an exception but he has serious flaws that have been overlooked and will never be a true #1 option on a contending team). Darko deserves only words of praise; the Raptors roster top to bottom might be the worst in the NBA and to see so many seemingly average to below average players improving is nothing short of remarkable.

Ochai is playing with so much confidence. I see so much growth in this young man. It is a pity all the hard work hasn't resulted in more wins.

I was also surprised Jak didn't come back down with it on the rebound instead of forcing a mid air catch and shoot with 6 seconds left.

Ever since the start of last season it's just clear that Will is a Darko hater. Gives barely any credit where it's due and just trashes the guy constantly. Will, this team with all the injuries and different lineups doesn't even have a right being competitive in these games - how does that not reflect well on the coach? lol
@Gherbo0303
@Gherbo0303 29 күн бұрын
He’s been great at developing players, Will has stated this multiple times. But his late game execution is truly head scratching. Some of the mistakes he makes a high school coach wouldn’t even make. Pointing out his clear mistakes is not being a hater lol

I can't be the only one who's noticing that Will lowkey does not like Darko as a coach at all lol. The "I can see that he's developing the rookies, but.." immediately to torching him has gotten way more obvious. It's the new "no offense but..." Now you got people here wanting to fire him not even close to halfway through the season. I'd nuch rather Will be honest and just say he wants another coach instead of tryna sugarcoat around it.

Will’s reaction here is exactly mine. I couldn’t believe they inbounded to Jak twice when Gradey, IQ and Battle were on the floor. And even RJ who is more than willing to shoot a 3 at the buzzer. Disheartening that he didn’t put them in a position to win. Applaud Jak’s effort there but why put him there?

i am NOT a coach but even i was like "yo they're gonna foul up three, why is Gradey inbounding to Jak again with even LESS time to shoot" 😭😭

Even though the team is tanking they are still so much fun to watch this year! Games have been exciting and close but in the end it’s not their priority to win this season and I’m ok with that. At least they are putting out a watchable product unlike the last couple years. Looking forward to your mystery interview😊

Agree! Darko proves he can develop players but cannot be a tactical coach. We have seen it game after game. Feel bad for the players. So frustrating! And I never understood why he never hired a ex head coach as assistant to help him in these situations!

The team got back in the game with Darko's choice to play Bruno. Let's give him credit for that. Maybe it was strange that Jak got the ball for the last free throw but Clippers wanted to foul anyway and the missed free throw on purpose almost worked.

You gotta be naive to think that Darko didnt intentionally tanked that game. You guys really think he doesnt know that Poeltl is poor ft shooter and that Clippers can hack him? You operate under assumption that "coaches dont tank" and have some code of honor. Come on

This happens because of terrible coaching. Raps will regret not hiring Reddick as head coach last year. Late game execution is trash. Barrett needs to learn how to shoot free throws. Boucher is utter junk.
