I heard/noticed you are left handed, so am I. Did you/do you find it difficult finding placement being that you are left handed? I find it difficult sometimes finding what side works best for me. Any recommendations for a beginner groomer?

Thank you for the instructions. We have just adopted a Maltipoo, so will have a go at cutting his very overgrown coat! Hoping my hairdressing skills will help! I have always cut our Yorkies but this will be a totally new challenge!

Which brushes? I've never used one brush that cuts the skin. If you are brush burning a dog, it's because the operator of the brush is using too much force.

From the discoloration of his aws, hes probably itchy from allergies, thats why it's matted, hes such a sweet baby! And im left handed sousing right handed anything is a bit difficult lol

Most of these dogs are sedated, that's why they seem so calm.

I have a maltipoo, i groom her myself. I have always groomed my dogs. My yorkies have always been so calm & easy, but my darling Maltipoo can't stand the clippers, therefore I have to use my hairdressing scissors which takes ages.

@TRISHA MOSS I can't speak about other groomers' practices. But I don't know 1 groomer in a decade that would sedate a dog without a clients permission. Some dogs, especially ones acclimated to grooming at an early one, are just used to the process and therefore sit with confidence

He’s a good boy! My puppy hates the brush and makes me feel like I’m hurting him when I know I’m not. Hope time and exposure he gets better. He freaked from the blow dryer and razor. I stopped didn’t get anything done.

Maltipoo are mixed breeds that have no breed standard trim. My client likes this haircut. 🙂

Maltipoos' are some of the sweetest, lovingest dogs in the world . All dogs deserve to be cared for it breaks my heart to see this Maltipoo like this. We have one and she is such a wonderful addition, we truly love her. Audrey is such a cutie, and she is so sweet natured. I think she's cute!

Groomers lung is an occupational hazard. However, you should always wear a mask when blow drying a dog and or clipping their hair down because those tiny slivers are inhaled.
