Y'all have no idea what this song means to me. I had heard it on the radio and fell in love from that start, and added it to my iPod just weeks before my senior high school trip to Italy and France. As we're driving along the Mediterranean Coast of Italy, this song comes on, and despite my wearing headphones, I start singing it. Instead of shutting me up, my classmates tell me to plug my iPod into our bus' PA system, and we listen to the song for everyone to sing along to. There wasn't a cloud in the sky that day, the sea was sapphire blue, and we didn't have a care in the world. One of my favourite memories of high school hands down

This is an example of a perfect love song, the subtle music notes not overshadowing the singer, the singer perfectly executing the notes and pitches, and the lyrics just taking you away to a musical heaven. Absolute perfection. They don't make them like they used to. You said it correctly when you said you can feel it in your body, cos i did too.

Tavares, hands down. The soulfulness of Tavares on this blew me away. I do like Bee Gees music but for this song - it sounds "tinny" compared to Tavares.

Being an instrumentalist, I know that Musiq’s version may not be the fave but it’s mine because I like the instrumentation better. That lower key gives it a different feel. Now Ledisi definitely did her thing but the vocals on the original are still my favorite.

This song had a different meaning for me. My son was born in September 1987. My wife worked on weekends and I would get him dressed and we drove to the mall. He rode in his car seat next to me, it was legal at time and I would play and sang this song to him. So I didn’t like video.

Bee Gees, wrote the song and gave it to Tavares to release first. they would later release their version in the Fever movie. They also wrote If I Can't Have You for Yvonne Elliman. They wrote Emotion for Samantha Sang , which Destiny's Child covered. . In the 1970's especially, they kept producing hits so fast, they were sharing those golden eggs!!! in the 1980's, the brothers were suffering from Disco backlash, and radio wouldn't play their releases, so they wrote whole ALBUMS for Streisand, Kenny Rogers, Diana Ross and Diane Warwick.
