Great Video. I chose the Defender Tactical Minishell adapter over the OPSol for my old and reliable Mossy 500. It is a fixed piece that won't fall out and is easy for the end user to install. More important, it allows the use of the shorties and the regulars at the same time, just like the Mossy S models. Most important, it just works. After hundreds of rounds, I have yet to have an inverted round on the lifter or any other failure associated with the use of shorties.

I own several Smith & Wesson revolvers and only have two newer ones that have that silly key lock. The 642 - ones shown in this video is an older model without the lock. At least Smith and Wesson moved out of anti-Gun, Massachusetts to Tennessee. Hopefully that’s an indication of better things to come.

Thank you for watching the video and thank you for your comments. As someone passionate about firearms and training, I feel we can never ever not advocate firearm safety. One of us is a range safety officer for ourselves and others. Most accidents happen because people are violating one of the four rules. Is by far the biggest challenge. I sincerely appreciate you acknowledging the importance of safety. We always try to post these for rules at the beginning of our videos just to let folks know this is our primary mission anytime we handle weapons. If you haven’t already, I hope you subscribe to the channel and as important, please share it with friends and family, and invite them to subscribe.

That makes a great deal of sense for that specific application. I’m not much of a competitor but have shot competition. I shoot with the red dot and back up iron sites all the time so I don’t notice anything different about it. You’re still placing the dot on the target That being said, I think each individual should modify their equipment for their specific needs. And in your specific use case having the iron sides could be a distraction. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.

I've never used a pair of suppre sights along with a red dot before. It seems very "busy" in such a small window.
@GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC
@GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC 2 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching and comment. I haven’t noticed that at all. It’s no different than having back up iron sites for a long gun. You’re focusing on the red dot wherever it is in the window on the target, but you have the ability to use the iron sites in the event the red dot fails. Red dots are an amazing upgrade but they are, like any electronic device, capable of failing at the worst times. My preference is to have back up iron sites. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

Why buy a 357 to shoot 38sp that's a waist of money when you could just get a 38sp
@GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC
@GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC 4 күн бұрын
Sir, thank you so much for watching and commenting. Actually, I think the value of buying a 357 magnum revolver is it allows you to shoot two calibers. This makes it a more effective value versus a 38 special that can only shoot 38 special. I do enjoy shooting 357 magnums but find them expensive … the .38 special cartridge is more affordable. Having one revolver that will shoot both calibers works great for me. I appreciate you taking the time to watch the video. Well shooting revolver and becoming proficient with it makes going to a semi a piece of cake. Plus you automatically earn you Level 5 "BadAss" card upon doing so LOL. About 8 yrs ago I got on revolver kick hard. I've always had some and even competed briefly with them. But when this bug hit I really got in the full custom builds and once you start shooting those they become as different from a factory gun as a race gun is different from a factory pistol. Great video as always!

spending time on a revolver, shooting double action only 357 magnum is great for newer shooters. Learn that trigger control and master the flinch because 357 has a lot more punch than 9 mm. if you can shoot a double action revolver in 357 well you can shoot a Glock style pistol well. The reverse is not necessarily true.

If you carrying the stop box in your vehicle they do a sell a cable for it, as a separate accessory. The boxes are expensive enough, but the cable is an additional $25 apiece. Now because California is making it a requirement to either have you guns locked up in a CA DOJ approved safe, or Lock Box. I have two of these stop boxes and the Ward. I have reached out to Stop Box to find out if their products are in fact CA DOJ Approved. I have reached out twice now and got no response. So basically, once the law is passed these boxes are worthless in California unless the company gets them CA DOJ Approved. I am now regretting that I ordered these boxes. I really like the idea of no electronics but!

Hey John thank you for watching and commenting. Unfortunately, I have a significant handicap with my left hand and arm. I cannot fully extend or rotate my left arm therefore I am doing much of the grip on the pistol with my right hand and as such, it’s more locked than I would prefer. The best adapter I found for mini shells for a Mossberg is the Defender tactical kit, I installed it in my 590A1 and can cycle any size shell, mini to 3" The OPSol mini wouldn't cycle the different sizes so it was either shoot mini's and take it out to shoot other sizes. I'm interested in the Kel-Tes KSG that you can load 22 mini shells.
