I'm going to break my response up into many parts. Because I'm often censored. But I have an answer, based partially on the book by Ian Ford, aspergers guide to neurotypicals.
@loverainthunder20 күн бұрын
Neurotypicals live inside symbolic spaces that do not exist or exist to a lesser extent for autistics.
@loverainthunder20 күн бұрын
2. NTs constantly imagine what other people think and create an imaginary symbolic space that feels real to them and partially dictates their movements.
@loverainthunder20 күн бұрын
3. They all participate in this space, and this space is called culture. It's a kind of shared imaginary space often invisible to autistics. Cultures vary. But they dictate to NTs where they exist in a heirachy, who they are to some degree, and the symbolic meaning of behaviors.
@loverainthunder20 күн бұрын
4. Different societies have different cultural norms. But, one thing they have in common is the ability to coordinate behaviors and shape interpretations of reality.
@loverainthunder20 күн бұрын
5. Culture is supposed to help people work together to support each other's identity and important behaviors.

If some people do indeed get irritated at the idea of defining (or further refining, to be precise) a notion, I guess it is because they are afraid to lose some status. Imagine you get relief from the idea that you are 'great' (without further elaboration), how would you feel if you are told 'no, you are not great, you are different'.

I have no experience with Ritalin but I have did have a mind altering experience with a space cake of sorts where the effect would only come up slightly before falling asleep. Somehow then, I exactly followed a routine I came up with as a kid where I would move each and every articulation of my body to help me sleep. I then realized that this sequence was deeply engraved in my brain and was readily available if I was in the right state of mind.

@1:10:55 - why are you so fixated on the name??? I mean his name is Zunaid - he could be white from Arabic peninsula. He could be muslim or maybe not...having a Muslim name doesn't mean he is a Muslim guy. Anybody of religion can be caucasian. Arabic is not a race.
@autismcapetown2 ай бұрын
even you give options, "white from Arabic peninsula. He could be muslim or maybe not." wanted to have clarity. i know all that u mention. i grew up in cape town, its uncommon for white people there to have arabic names. so was interested. the video is hours long yet all u focus on is this. i wonder who is fixated?

You disparaging tone when commenting on the artist's name and price of his work without even mentioning anything about the quality or your impression of the art itself, speaks volumes. He is a world renowned artist. Educate youeself a bit about him.
@autismcapetown3 ай бұрын
I am not Art critic and was curious about his name origin. because Junaid I know as Arabic and his surname I did not know as Arabic. I have many ancestors so curious about origins of others Nothing disparaging. That's just ur interpretation. Many times neurotypicals assign negative ideas to my way of trying to investigate and communicate. Also never heard of him and just wanted some details. There is no hidden negative meaning. As to my opinion of paintings. It's got detail yet personally I don't like faces and portraits of famous people.
@autismcapetown3 ай бұрын
And the price was shocking because I was not even thinking a price initially. Thought it was enlarged computer printouts of Ai pictures. So maybe u picked the shock up that it was paintings and so much. Then his mixed name intrueged me. What do u mean by disparaging. Very curious as to what volumes u think it speaks to. Would be another interesting point how people Missread my autistic mind again. Watch my videos. This happens alot.
@autismcapetown3 ай бұрын
That video of the time in that shop is unedited. It's exactly how long I spent in there. And after I also told my wife about the name I found interesting. As to art. My uncles and daughter paints and even sold stuff. Personally not my thing yet I know it requires effort and as said his detail is good to me. Since Initially it looked like enlarged computer printouts.

Firstly, NO ONE is Neurotypical, because no one can be called 'typical' of anything, except by someone who is just plain discriminatory. Secondly, EVERYONE is neurodivergent, because everyone has a unique personal neural and psychological wiring. Thirdly, the term Autism is an IDENTITY, not a diagnosis. The term Autistic does not describe the specific issues of a specific person, and is not helpful in finding solutions to problematic behaviors, but identifying as 'autistic' seems to allow those who identify as such to not make any effort toward tackling their specific behavioral issues. The brain is 'plastic' and with the right activities and therapies, can grow in any direction that one might aspire to. I have been called 'autistic' by other people, and when I say I refuse to be labelled with that "autistic" identity label, as it says nothing about me, then I am suddenly called a "Neurotypical' for not going with their autistic label. I prefer to call myself Artistic, and to act respectfully and creatively, using my 'neurodivergency' as a source of creative action. 'Autistics' should try on this different mindset, and call themselves 'Artistic' and act accordingly, and see if that helps.
@autismcapetown3 ай бұрын
Okay
@792p3 ай бұрын
That's actually a good point. I see that in myself. When 'confronted' with a neurodivergent, I feel confused by what the person's needs are. The more I try to engage, the more confused I get. Eventually, I overload and I just ignore the person.

Then in Bellevliet rd opposite Duke rd where you walked, (left d/storey house) when I started high school. I recognised the curvy rd. near Amazon bldg. where my late father worked at SAR at Electrical Running Sheds (in background). The swimming pool where I used to go swim as a child. The subway below railway lines, the library - spent many hours there and finally - Hawkes & Findley where I used to enjoy going to as a child with my father. It still exists. Thank you very much, you are doing a great thing. I am sure it means a lot to many people. Keep up the great work - well done. Everything of the best for you and your family.
