First off, great product the HF150! Shielded most of the fat wires that traverse the radiator. Found noise on ignition/tach wire. I put a 1000 uF 100V cap across the two lugs on an HF150, but it overheats on , engine-off cool down for some reason. Not sure why.

Darryl knows his stuff. I purchased two of these units for two different trucks.They have been performing flawlessly for over 2 years now. Not one problem! The junk I had before was a joke. This is heavy duty, made in the U.S.A. quality here. Thanks Darryl! I am using the blue 200 amp on my 1947 Cadillac to control 4 Spal 9" fans, unit has been working perfectly for the last 4 years and fans are even more quiet than the older spal PWM setup where I needed 4 pwm units due to the low amperage rating.

Can I correctly infer from you repeating the preferred location being on the outflow of the radiator that using the factory coolant temp sensor in the block’s water jacket is a bad idea? I just want to add pwm control to my electric fans and do away with the relays it currently uses
@daleandersen6730
@daleandersen6730 3 жыл бұрын
The system should sense coolant outflow to keep the fan off as long as the radiator is cooling well. Lots of times the natural airflow created by the cars motion is enough to cool the engine.

I was wondering if the sensor can be anywhere on the Cool side circuit, engine or radiator
@gregorykusiak5424
@gregorykusiak5424 3 жыл бұрын
@@332ARA it appears the best place to put the sensor is I. The lower radiator hose; between the output of the radiator and the input to the coolant/water pump would give an indication of how well the rad/fans are cooling, but that would be an argument for having the fan controls inside the cabin

What a great set of products you are designing. I have a question. I have my A/C condenser mounted in a remote location with its own electric fan. Which product would I need to control my electric radiator fan via PWM and the condenser fan separately via PWM in relation to pressure? From what I can gather from you website is to use the A/C pressure controller to operate a PWM fan controller. However, it appears that the A/C pressure controller only trips when it reaches the set pressure and wouldn't raise fan rpms in relation to A/C pressure.
