What is the reason to have the lid partially uncovered? I understand it lets some water evaporate, but could you not use i.e. 1.5 cup of water per cup of rice to begin with? All the watter would be absorbed in rice and none of the fragrances would escape.

Right. But why did you actually peel/trim these veg? Couldn’t you cook them skin on in the original dish they were used to make? I don’t get it. Also, what you use in this particular video does not look like actual trimmings. These are so clean and blemish-free they look like just shaved veg, not its trimming.

If you want to eat only tomatoes basil and cheese, eat italian pizza. If you want to eat a great variety of pizzas and not be judged, then eat American pizza

m gonna use this same recipe, except i will toast these spices in my pan first then add to my rice cooker with measure out basmati and give it a mix. should release the fragrances and nice flavor

It does in 7 min or till water has evaporated which should not exceed 10 if proper water measurement used 🤩on fame, then left for 5 min covered, you'll get perfect cooked yummy rice 😋

In persia / Iran , they also have a dish very close to this dish , called " eggplants koko " it taste very nice with added cinemon or coarse black pepper Thank you Chef aisha

Italian Pizza(especially in Italy) does leans towards you being healthier, and more natural, because they use only fresh ingredients that came directly from a farm, leagues better than the stuff in a lot of American Pizzas. in American Pizzas, there is a lot of ultra-processed ingredients from an industrial factory, and may even contain additives that is poisonous to your body(especially in the bread part), containing an additive called Azodicarbonamide(ADA), a whitening agent that are used in Yoga Mats and Shoe rubber, and they put that in american bread(including the bread in american Pizza). ADA is known to cause cancer if consumed regularly.

A wonderful recipe and absolutely masterfully executed, and I would absolutely love to eat it. I can see that the olives are adding the punch of salinity, and there are umami and citric ingredients in place of Worcestershire sauce and/or anchovies, but sans cornichons or capers, and with sliced beef instead of chopped, it is certainly not a steak tartare to me. This is a wonderful carpaccio or crudo recipe, but no tartare.

Is this method strictly for Basmati rice or can you use it for plain long grain rice?
