For those that this didn't work, this might help: in my case push the card all the way in wouldn't read certain cards. I generally slide the card in until the light on the reader flicks on and stop there, that fixes the issue for me.

Canon C200 user here, Right after loading the owlbot and 709 from the custom profile, should I set it to protect? And what's the setting for Gamma and Color Matrix?
@OwlbotАй бұрын
You don't "need" to protect it but it'd be safe. Gamma and Color should have been set to whatever it was automatically (I can't remember off the top of my head I remember one was different than the others)
@fennestoАй бұрын
@@Owlbot Thanks! It's something like this if u can remember, Gamma: Canon Log 3/Canon Log/Wide Dr/Standard Color Matrix: Neutral/Production/Canon Eos/Video/Off File (Under color profile: Owlbot/709) These settings I don't want it to be affected when choosing 709 or Owlbot picture profile. Any safer choice? If I set to protect it will grey out for Gamma and Color Matrix but not sure if it's just disabled or still be affected.

@Owlbot2 ай бұрын
Suspicion (1941), directed by Alfred Hitchcock. In the film, the chunk you saw has Lina McLaidlaw (played by Joan Fontaine) saying, "Oh no, I won't be seeing any men in Rio," while on the train. Suspicion is a classic Hitchcock thriller that stars Cary Grant and Joan Fontaine, with Fontaine winning an Academy Award for her performance.

Kenny, is there a generally accepted creative reporting structure for most productions? Do the Colorists and Editor take direction from the DP and the DP from the Director, or do all three take direction from the Director directly? 😅 I guess a follow-on question; is the Producer generally involved in creative decisions and in a creative sense how do they fit in the creative organization above? My. Current understanding is they get money and green lights and stay oriented creative process once the project is sold.

Appreciate this video. I currently own the R3 and very much enjoy that camera. That said, I do want the higher megapixel count for my photo work and the updated video features as I have been focusing on more video the past year. Your video solidifies I made the right choice going for the R5MKII rather than the R1. To touch on the R1 for a brief moment - as an R3 owner it feels the R1 falls short for being something truly great, and I say that mostly based on the price. If it were closer to a $5500 camera, sure, but at $6300 it doesn't feel that much different (to warrant buying a new camera) to the R3; essentially for current R3 owners (at least this one) the R1 feels like a facelift rather than something new and better. Side note: I do love the larger body with the built-in grip of the R3 so much so that I never use my R6 handheld anymore. Now, overall gripes I wish Canon would have addressed with both cameras: why oh why doesn't it have dual CF type A? I say this as I never film on the SD card and if I'm shooting burst for photos I also don't use the SD slot. This becomes an issue for me personally as sometimes I want to switch back and forth between photo and video while shooting moving subjects; the slow buffer on the SD card makes it almost unusable, but I can't record both on the CF card as I'll run out of space. On a completely different note, perhaps something you are more knowledgable than I on, but when I record externally with cinema gamut, the colors are always way off compared to when I recored internally. I have heard this is a common issue; 1) is it? 2) is this addressed with the R5MKII (if it's actually an issue)? Back on topic - again, appreciate this review as it validates the R5MKII was the right choice for my current needs.

Potatojet did a side by side test with the FX3 & R5 II. He’s a Sony fanboy & he said the FX3 has more dynamic range, mostly in the highlights. It looked like he purposely exposed the R5 II brighter than the FX3. That would surprise me since I’ve seen the R5C have more range in the highlights than the FX3 in person & online tests.

@Owlbot3 ай бұрын
I mean PERSONALLY neither because I need full-sized cinema bodies, I think the FX3 is overrated in general but that's not to say it's not a great camera. It'd come down to how many photo or video features you'd need. If you don't need ANY photo features, I'd pick up a C70 over an FX3. If you need ANY photo features, the FX3 doesn't cut it.
