Jon and Dany deserved an Aragorn and Arwen ending. They should have been married at King’s Landing after they defeated the Lannisters and defended the enslaved populace. I would have loved to see Sam as Jon’s best man and Missandei as Dany’s maid of honor with Jorah presenting her to Jon.

I finally watched Game of Thrones. A lot of shows' endings have backlash. Sometimes it's deserved, sometimes it's overblown. But this was different. This was a show exclusively let down by the quality of the writing. I've never seen so many people do so well and work so hard on a a piece of media with writing this juvenile and brainless. And the gap between the scripts of peak GoT episodes and what it becomes by the end has no parallel in any other show. It's not just that it gets worse - it's that it gets so mindlessly written in every facet - dialogue, character motovations, plot, continuity, and even just character personalities in general that I find it hard to believe at times there was even a script at all. I cannot believe people were actually paid to slap that together.
