She doesn't reject him because she doesn't love him, she rejects him because she knows what being a Lady means and she can't be that. A part of her wants to be able to be that. To play the princess, to be the Lady. But that isn't her role. It would be Arya denying herself if she did that. She loves Gendry, but in the end being true to herself is more important.

The second biggest tragedy of Game of Thrones other than what they did to Dany was that they didn't let these two end up together (it's not like Gendry would force Arya to remain holed up in a keep). Gendry and Arya was so endearing in the few scenes they got together and always brings a smile to my face and a laugh

I would of loved it if after the proposal Gendry told everyone he wasn't going to be Lord staying a bastard, Dany pissed everyone shocked. Arya yelling at him shoving him & calling him an idiot. Then he's walking away from Arya saying 'I've never had a family'. Arya tears realizing he meant everything says 'I can be your family.' He walks up to her,' You wouldn't JUST be my family, you'd be MY lady.' Gendry accepting she doesn't want royal treatment & ok with finally being a bastard. Arya finally showing love & feelings kisses him. Everyone still shocked. Gendry walks out, Arya threatens Dany if anything happens to him. Dany promises nothing will but when she's alone we see her more pissed then ever. I would of loved something like this happening since Gendry said,'none of it means anything without you', & finally accepting that Arya isn't that type of Lady. And it would of been satisfying since Dany had a smug look when she made him Lord plus it would of helped with her going mad. Also show that Arya does love him back. Even if she left with the Hound I'd think it would still be to finish her list & protect her family, ending with Arya & Gendry traveling the world. Sansa could always rename him Lord if they wanted.

Also if she does become Lady of Storms End no one asks her to give up her assassins skills...she can protect her new family castle with this...just like Lyanna Mormont was a badass but also a Lady. I want her to be with Gendry whether it's ruling Storms end, travelling around the world, or living in a small cottage in a forest. As long as they're happy and together I'll be happy. Being obsessed over death is not very healthy just look at the Hound.

I’m not a shipper. I’m really NOT. But this is so achingly real, sweet and true. Honestly, it’s the only tragic ship on GOT that really saddens me that they couldn’t be together. And yet I also KNOW that they shouldn’t have lived happily ever after together for all the reasons Arya said. But yes, the tragic poetry of Arya & Gendry is the almost as perfect for me as that of Jyn & Cassian in Rogue One.

I can imagine that after Arya has explored what is West of Westeros and has gotten into a lot of fights she would come home tired and ragged from fighting and feeling that after all this time she had been missing something but unsure of what. So she travels back home to the North to be alongside Sansa to try and figure it all out. Along the way, she is out hinting and meets up with Gendry who was out traveling to make a trade deal with the Queen of the North. They decided to travel the rest of the way together. Gendry is still unmarried, not having found any ladies that even came close to the love and fondness he has for Arya. Along their journey filled with raiders and killers, they fight alongside each other. And found that they still loved each other. Arya discovers that it was Gendry that she had been missing all this time. They are wedded in Winterfell by Queen Sansa and live out the rest of their days at Storm Ends and Lord and Lady Baratheon have only one or two kids both orphans that they took in.

Imagine he would go out every morning and every evening watching from storms end to see if her ship would appear in the horizon. Little to his knowledge she would return occasionally but watch from the shadows as rejects every lady that present him their hand. Till one day he returns from his forge to that spot where he waits for and there she stands watching the sunset and he just walks to stand beside her. He listens and watches as she compiles her adventures for all to read one day they become each others family and they make it bigger only to return together to the sea after their children take over their duties.

I fucking hate D&D for how this turned out more than anything. It makes perfect sense that Arya doesn't want to be a lady, but it makes ZERO sense for Gendry to choose being Lord of the Stormlands over Arya.
