It's just that I encountered an issue with the "payment" section of my Stripe account, because my country is still not available there, so the platform "blocked" my account because the information I had to enter was not completed, so I couldn't get paid on the Substack platform yet. however, I don't give up on continuing to write on this Substack platform, I have an optimistic outlook for the future🙌

Crazy how cost-effective your membership is for the amount of value I have received. Medium takes 30% of writer earnings for IRS tax withholdings (even if you're outside the country, unless in a country with a tax treaty), plus publications take another 50% of your earnings, so if you're starting out and writing for publications (probably your only way to get ahead if you're just starting out), then that means you're only making 20 cents out of every $1.00 you earn on the platform. 2nd or 3rd time watching this excellent, educational video. This time I took 2 pages of notes. Hudson is an excellent educator. Full disclosure: I am also a subscriber to Hudson’s Substack, which I credit for helping me to collapse time frames in getting to the $1,200 income per month mark reasonably fast as a part-time writer.

I'm not new to writing but new to all this. This is a lot to take in! Is the part where you copy and paste the URL into a note taking app or google shoot? did you say is that just to remember your topic or to use it as a link in your writing? Also, are you saying just to add one URL from each topic? I'm so confused! I really appreciate your help though. Well done on the video. thank you!
