The Prophet PBUH asked for guidance /dua for Abu Talib his Uncle who was a Polytheist. Also during the Boycott on Muslims in Mecca a Polytheist (mutram al adi?)would give food to the starving Muslims- those who do good you can do a dua for them. I imagine Maurice isn't a Polytheist. Watch Yasir Qadhis seerah of the Prophet PBUH.
