No, it depends on the individual’s health. Even when you go off you regain most weight back if not more.

Thank you for helping people understand that obesity is a disease and WE are NOT failures with regards to our weight. I have tried gastric banding and gastric bypass. Almost died having the band removed and the bypass done. This medication changed my life! I was a size 22-24 in pants and a 2x shirt 2 years ago. Currently i an a small top and a 4 pant size. NEVER in my life have I been this smalland have been shamed all my life for having obesity. So thank you for helping those that are unaware that for some...we can't help it.

What about microbiome and gut health and toxicity and chemicals of food and environment? I feel like that is left out of the conversation. If that is true, its not necessarily a disease but an imbalance which causes downstream effects. The diseases are a consequence of the imbalances in that case. Just some more nuance to consider. I have struggled all of my life too. Its taken me 50 years to understand this and get out of the cycle of guilt or victimhood.

We are feral…our brains remember what they love for human survival…it’s simple We have reward systems to keep us all alive or we wouldn’t have the happiness or pleasure to keep going. Our American food is crap filled w stuff that gives us instant pleasure and we don’t move much because we have modern amenities that spoil us. Really it’s that simple It’s so hard to trick the brain It knows what it loves and it loves junk food We complain we are overweight but it’s so hard to just eat what you need for energy and not pleasure 😩 It’s a battle because food is always available 24/7 And being thin doesn’t mean you are healthy

this lady Fatima is such a bull shitter. She sells GLP 1 products to her patients and that's why she's pushing it like it's a necessity. Obesity has to do with eating too much food and not moving enough, period! It's called science.

How smart / profitable would it be to create a medication that causes ppl to eat less/feel less hungry which also coincides with the very real problem of the increasing world food shortages?

Everyone here saying oh just eat healthy, fast etc obviously don't have my issue, i have struggled my whole life, my brain thinks about food all the time, even after a meal im thinking about what I'm going to eat next, food is a comfort and a pleasure and my enemy, i need something to help stop constantly thinking about food, im now at my highest weight in the morbidity obese category, i know what to eat but just need that help, ive just started on wegovy and with exercise and clean eating, im hopefully going to get results and maintain it even if it means i have to stay on the drug.

Being a medical doctor i am very worried about the future side effects of these drugs. It sometimes takes years to see the side effects of medications. Just remember zantac, estrogen, osteoporosis drugs to name a few.

As a Doctor then, you should be able to look at and interpret the literature. Clinical Trials for these drugs date back years.

I believe I can go into the store and eat healthy. If I had your money and the money to do it. Eating the right way is a little bit more expensive and I just don't have it to even last the whole month

I'm not watching this because I'm not an Oprah fan, and don't believe in drugs to lose weight, but did they bother talking about all the side effects of these drugs?

I don’t buy this discussion. The average person up to the 1960’s maybe 1970’s was slim. It’s the food and alcohol industries that have made us addicts. Sugar, sugar and more sugar.

I am frustrated. I exercise daily and eat a very healthy diet. I also fight hunger pangs like all of these other folks. But, my BMI is not high enough to get these injections. So, how do I keep from being overweight?
@donnajoseph62044 күн бұрын
Oprah seemed quite clueless about the medical jargon used as well as the way some of these drugs work. Isn't she taking them herself? Did she not research at least the basics before ingesting this stuff? Strange.
