There are a lot of Brits that make it in the US and there are quite a lot who have that typical RP accent. I love that Cynthia’s London accent is just normal. She has a lovely calmness and pace to how she talks. Every word is considered and delivered with eloquent perfection. I find that she comes across as a bit shy and unusually for someone with such a high profile she isn’t all about “look at me the star.” For someone who’s arguably much more famous in the US than the UK she is incredibly grounded and lovely.

I could listen to Cynthia talk all day. So intelligent, articulate and a lovely accent. I think her poster response was probably more to do with her putting her heart and soul into the character, being very proud about that and her work, then seeing someone wipe her face away so she wasn't recognisable. It would've felt like a slap and she unwisely angry typed her thoughts in the heat of the moment. I'm so excited that she was cast as Elphaba. Her voice is exquisite.

Next to the poster of Galinda, it was TOO dark. Absolutely TOO dark! Miss Cynthia as a transgender this movie this woman who is green has met so much to me in my life. I remembered discovering wicked in 2003 and I was going through quite a bit. I was hitting my look I was hitting who I was I was hitting a lot of things and wicked has played a very special part in my heart that will always be there the day I got to fly out the first time to see wicked I was living in Palm Springs and I’m boarded to plane in 2015 and went up to San Francisco and saw woman who I fell deeply in love with, and thought she was superb as the green girl her name was Ian Espinoza, and now seeing you play this role and knowing that she’s part of my community touches my heart even more ever since my mother died I have flown myself further into wicket. Nobody could’ve played her. We love you and we thank you so much.❤

King failed to recognize the many actors who have played this role on Broadway over the years (I singled out Idina), many of which are not as "long in the tooth" as Idina, and who would have done a fine job, too. I have seen the movie twice, I love Erivo's performance just as much, if not more, but I still think King was overreacting and failing to respect some other amazing actors who have played this role.
