I'm gonna come out and say it, if possessing a family member means they get saved and eventually healed in the end to the point they no longer need to be possessed, then I'd do it just to save them, even if I had to keep it from them. The ends justify the means, no matter how secretive or how bad it may seem.

I know Im late but: The baby comment is unneeded. The baby may look like a "he" but I remember that episode its a shapeshifter or something. It can be anything thats why they refer to it as "it"

i understand dean as a older sibling. she needed a bone marrow transplant brother has 0+ but i was a identic match for her. we are both 0-. i told her i would give her my heart if she needed it. she was 4 and survived thanks to that. she is 16 now i am 21. she needed one again at 14. i would give up my life just so my siblings survive. lost my spleen at 17 because i tried to save my brother his could be glued mine was shredded. fou nd out the blood tranfusens i got were my own. so yeah i understand how you feel responsible for your younger siblings, like you would sacrifice yourself just to see them save

One thing that bothered me about Sam in 1st season was how Sam seem so oblivious the whole season that Dean gave up his normal childhood to became his guardian and to raise him. He never got to live a normal childhood and was burdened with the weight of being his brother's keeper when he was only 4. He took care of both his father and his brother only to have his father and brother giving zero sh*t about him until the end of the season

Idk bad writing... it's like they introduce a "more powerful being" and the assumption is that they are basically a human compared to this "more powerful being". But the lazy writing keeps it so the less powerful character can still have bursts of badassery randomly without explanation needed.

I understand Dean was mad about Sam disappearing with Baby, but at that particular point in the series, was it really the best time to hit Sam in the head? Explanation: S7E3 "The Girl Next Door" Sam was still having hallucinations after Castiel broke his wall in S6E22 "The Man Who Knew Too Much", so he was very mentally and physically vulnerable, he couldn't sleep because he would then be prone to even worse psychological torture than when he is awake, so hitting him in the head, which could potentially knock him out, would not be ideal, as we saw at the end of S7E2 "Hello, Cruel World" him blacking out or having a concussion leads to more hallucinations, that make him extra stressed, which paired with any head trauma, causes him to seize. (Thank you for reading my comment. P.S. I know Dean would never hit Sam hard enough to give him a concussion, at least not on purpose, especially not here.)
