Are the red and grey clad ones, as at the beginning, more recently built or was that a modernization? I'm used to the red stone clad ones, like those that appear later. Not that I ever knew much of them. I'm Canadian, but mom was born and raised in Greenock and dad in Port Glasgow- he for sure spent childhood in tenements like that. Maybe even the Clune Park estate. I know he went to Clune Park School. His cousin lived in one, near Newark Castle, into this century. My grandfathers worked in the shipyards. I can't be sure which- the one I have heard of was Scott Lithgow.

JT are all these flats 3 bedrooms? I remember being in one years ago and sure it was 4 or 5 bedrooms. Was on top 2 floors.

I worked there and renevated every house around TANNAHILL. New roofs, new water mains.... It's desgusting that 30 years on all my hard work was well appreciated..... Lol

J T see the High flats at St George’s road in Mary hill are they maisonette towers

21:31 its a crane for window cleaners, their harneses are attached to that.

I had a mate who lived in that flat, they really were OK. I've never seen a view like it from a living room 22 up. They're spending £££££ on student flats all over the city, why not re purpose these?

The single apartments were all the same shape and used to be one big room (without room divider where as ofcourse the end flats are mirror images of each other lol ...Kitchens and bathrooms were All crap and outdated so the new internals were big improvement from what i saw from you being inside that flat But GOOD RIDDANCE TO THESE EYESORE DEATH TRAPS !

LOL my last flat in 151 was 18 D !!

Sorry i lived in 151 for years and lived in a middle single apartment 1992 to 1999 then in a one bedroom one in same block 2 floors down 1999 to 2009 then became so pissed off with the lack of maintenance and refurbishment ...improvements coming in dribs and drabs over many years,,,2 blocks controlled entry and 2 left without...insulation installed in 151 and none of the others ...new kitchens promised in one block and bathrooms in another etc!!!!! and no cladding and blocks an eyesore !! i eventually bought a flat elsewhere to get away!! and even argued with housing officers that they should be coming down etc ....some years later i noticed they had been cladded and my cousin was living in 171 and some internal improvements had been made.... Good riddance!!!!. ALL the middle flats were prone to getting flooded from above and it happened to me many times ...even when i viewed it at the very beginning the ceiling was hanging down !!! dont be fooled by their currant appearance mate. xx
