You've really made your new place into a home! The long tailed titmouse is such a cute blessing, I wonder why they put lichen around their nests? 💚

Thank you for your lovely comment 💛 they are so cute aren't they! I am not too sure, I like to think it's for comfort haha as the lichens soft 😊

Also I’m jealous of the long tailed tits! I used to feed them in my mums garden and spend hours watching them from the kitchen window. They’re the sweetest birds. It made me laugh when you said they take hair from cows because more than once I caught them taking the hair from my hairbrush 😂

Under the oak tree for the bird box because the tree and leaves will help shelter it and help hide it from predators too. It's all coming on really well! Love that the wrens are roosting in the roof like that! I cut back a load of bramble once when I was staying with friends in West Penwith and their half acre patch was slowly being taken over by it. Very satisfying to finally cut it back to the boundary 💚
@anearthingpath5 ай бұрын
Yes this is very true, thank you for your comment ! ✨️ it is so wonderful about the wrens, and yes it's so satisfying to cut back the brambles and make more space for nature ! 😊

Lemonbalm grows wild in my mother's garden and we often make a tea with it mixed with mint, the mint balances out and complements the strong lemony tang. Those toadstools Kieran saw look just like ones I've eaten; parasols; don't take my word for it though lol

We have herb Robert here in the Pacific Northwest. Most people think it’s a weed. I let an area go back to the wild and found all sorts of wild medicines returning. Mushrooms too.

Mullein tea for the lungs👍 High potency vitamin C if you can get it. Capsules of oregano oil- powerful antibiotic. If nothing else, smash up cloves of fresh garlic, take every few hours with water. Antibacterial, antibiotic 👍 There were two ladies who lived well and healthy into their 90s - daily garlic was their magic potion. The Delany sisters. You are living the dream. Away from cities is the place to be now.

The connection of all things, not just biological but spiritual is one of the first things I discovered on my journey in life: Everything is connected; mind, thought, emotion, motion, the leaves and stars and breeze. I like your walks and I didn't know that about herb robert, that grows pretty much all over the place too! 💚🌿

my sociological advice for the gentleman: when the pretty girl puts her head on your shoulder and turns toward you and you come face to face a millimeter apart, kiss the girl (homo sapiens - female). p.s. - you're a hell of a carpenter.

I once dug up a mouse nest when digging a vegetable plot and placed the nest back but under something to keep the rain off. The next day the babies were gone and I assumed the mother had found them and re-homed them. The project is looking great! All the best with it guys! 💚🐸🐭🍀

@anearthingpath11 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching 💚 nice to know you would like wildlife facts in these types of videos/vlogs too, will make a note of that for next time! The counter top is from a black walknut tree, the reptile is a sloe worm (anguis fragilis), there were various shield bugs, a brimstone butterfly (gonepteryx rhamni) and a common toad (bufo bufo) 😊

Very cute video Emmeline, and I've never seen so many cowslips! They seem to enjoy the open grass more than primroses? I read that people used to believe these primulas grew where cows had dropped their pats lol, hence one understanding of the name. 🌻🌼
