Dude how many days it take to learn a 90 degree hold ?????
@joshvdm2 ай бұрын
It can vary greatly for different ppl. Your background and what lvl you're starting at strength wise plays a major role. I got it in a month or so, but it could take some ppl 6 months maybe more depending on how much focus you put on it

Having a decent base of Upper body strength from dips, Pushups etc. Helps a lot. But the no1 thing is just actually practicing the HSPU and going for attempts

I am able to do 90 degree hold , but I just want the enough strength to push my whole body upwards while in that hold. Can you help me with that. (I am talking about the progression that you did just in the starting of the video)
@joshvdm3 ай бұрын
I'm a bit confused, are you talking about planche pushups. In the beginning of the vid it's just 90° holds and then regular pushups?
@studypurpose-dl4jy3 ай бұрын
@@joshvdmI am talking about 0:00 to 0:03
@joshvdm3 ай бұрын
@studypurpose-dl4jy if you mean pushing yourself back up into a handstand (90° HSPU) then one of the best exercises are doing those exact 90° hold negatives from handstand. On top of that practice doing HSPU's, but work on increasing the lean forward when you go down and try get more horizontal over time. The hardest part about doing that on the floor is the wrist mobility. Either you'll have to switch your hand position mid move or work on increasing the flexibility of your wrists so that you can keep them in a 45ish° angle facing forward the entire time
@studypurpose-dl4jy3 ай бұрын
main problem is with my wrist only , I think it'll only take practice and practice @@joshvdm

Is it normal to be able to hold it for 5 sec but not being able to breathe while doing it?
@joshvdm4 ай бұрын
In the beginning, yeah, kind of. I remember struggling to breathe purely because of how heavy my body felt. As you get stronger the pressure won't feel as intense and you'll be able to breathe whilst remaining semi relaxed

Can we practice this everyday
@joshvdm5 ай бұрын
Technically handstand isn't a strength element, so you can practice it everyday, but if you're just starting out, I would highly recommend taking days off. Your body won't be adapted properly to handstand training, and your wrists and shoulders will start to take a lot of strain. Later on, when you have solid form and your body is geared towards handstands, practicing everyday will be fine as long as you aren't overdoing it drastically with the volume

Bro should my elbows touch my body
@joshvdm5 ай бұрын
Ideally no, it's fine if they make contact with your side, but if you start supporting your bodyweigjt with the elbows it becomes more of an elbow lever as opposed to a 90 degree hold

Can I get some tips I’m not able to progress from frog position to advance frog
@joshvdm5 ай бұрын
I can't be 100% certain, but I would assume that if you're struggling with the advanced frog, it's a strength issue. So don't feel like you have to rush into it. Focus on building up your strength in your core and shoulders utilizing the basics and then come back to the advanced frog later on. You could also do some drills like crouching down on your toes and then rocking forward into the advanced frog position for a spilt second before rocking back onto your toes. Overtime try increase the amount of time you hold before rocking back onto your toes. Hope that helps

Bro i can do 1-2 Reps Of Hspu But How i Progress to multiple Reps My Goal is to Achieve 5+
@joshvdm5 ай бұрын
First check what your HSPU looks like. If you are able to do 1-2 reps with good form, then focus on getting stronger, putting the emphasis on things like military press, Weighted dips doing more volume with easier progressions like pike pushups. Dedicating some time to improve your strength will help you get more reps later on. On the other hand, if your HSPU is wobbly focus on becoming more efficient at the technique so you spend less energy performing a rep. Long story short make sure you still incorporate basics in order to improve your strength and don't just focus on skills. Hope that helps :)

Just a reminder that you can slip and chip your teeth or knock yourself out. I would recommend doing this on some gymnastics parallel bars so you have no chance of that happening if you fail a lift and can't catch your feet on those small platforms. Good work, I can only dip 40kg and I weigh 68kg. Keep up the good work and I just dropped this comment because I would hate for you to encounter such an injury as I have seen a few happen in short time at the gym. Stay strong bro and keep training hard as that is so impressive. 100kg dips wow that's legit phenomenal 👏 🙌 💪😎

Sure, here's some BW ones: Pushups, pull ups, chin ups, dips, Pseudo pushups, pike pushups, Aussie pull ups, Sit ups, Plank, Hollow body hold, Leg raises, Toes to bar, Archer pushups, Incline/Decline pushups, Reverse hypers, Russian twists, Bicycles You can also use external Weight for general strength/bodybuilding exercises and I'd also recommend training legs, but all that is optional I guess

How long should I be able to do a lsit and handstand for to move onto the next stage?
@joshvdm7 ай бұрын
Some people say you should be able to hold it for a full minute, but I think the quality of the hold is more important than the duration. If you can hold an L sit and handstand for 10s each with solid form (no moving or swaying) then you can start trying new things
