Bro do you have ig and can I please send you a video of the kipping hspu, I just watched you’re video and was the best tutorial about this topic I’ve seen. So thankyou for that! After that I immediately started working out with workout you programmed it for us. I managed to perform kipping hspu so I think I am pretty close but want to share the vid with you to check form and get some final advice what I should do next to achieve it. Btw I can hold the hs for 10-20 seconds and can rep chest to wall for 8-10 reps can dip and push above 20 and can hold tuck planche 10sec so I have decent push strength think it’s more technique for me… hope to hear from you

Great tutorial btw do you intentionally use your legs to extend down on the descend of handstand push-ups to balance going down like I see your heel drive on handstand push-ups the legs seem to extend down when you go down on HSPU maybe natural movement or literal intention to be able to balance the bottom then press back up

Thanks man! It's not something I consciously do, maybe it was in the beginning. The goal is to always keep your core tight so the legs remain in more or less a straight line with your upper body, if you allow the legs to dangle forward they will pull you off balance. So sometimes my legs will angle downwards so that I can keep tension throughout the entrie body and make the control and "pushing up" phase a lot easier to control. I hope that answers your question :)

Hey, how many elevated pike pu reps do you recommend before progressing out? Also really nice video
@joshvdm
@joshvdm 11 ай бұрын
Thanks. It depends on how much of your body weight you can put over your hands during the pike PU. If you can keep a steep angle at the hips and it feels like your feet almost want to lift off the ground at the bottom of the rep, then I would say just 5 reps is enough before progressing👌🏽

What about warm ups? What do I need to literally not tear my every tendon apart :D
@joshvdm

Haha, do light cardio and wrist mobility to start. From there, depending on your level, start with easier progressions to get the body ready, but don't do so many reps that it exhausts you. (For example if you are working on HSPU against the wall. Do 10 pushups and 10 pike pushups as a warm up, but don't do multiple sets or it might fatigue you for the Working sets against the wall) hope that helps :)

hey bro how many reps and set should i do in negative hspu to unlock the hspu early
@joshvdm
@joshvdm 11 ай бұрын
I'd start with 3 sets of 3 reps but instead of adding more reps to each set focus on controlling the negative slower each time and when you can control the downward phase for about 4 ~ 6 seconds, then I'd start attempting pushing back up :)

Bro i can do 1-2 Reps Of Hspu But How i Progress to multiple Reps My Goal is to Achieve 5+
@joshvdm
@joshvdm 5 ай бұрын
First check what your HSPU looks like. If you are able to do 1-2 reps with good form, then focus on getting stronger, putting the emphasis on things like military press, Weighted dips doing more volume with easier progressions like pike pushups. Dedicating some time to improve your strength will help you get more reps later on. On the other hand, if your HSPU is wobbly focus on becoming more efficient at the technique so you spend less energy performing a rep. Long story short make sure you still incorporate basics in order to improve your strength and don't just focus on skills. Hope that helps :)
