Only thing i would mention is be aware whatever products you folks plan to make that micro plastic is a serious threat in the environment as it is, products like road ways, walk ways. Etc. Wherethe plastic is subject to consistent abrasion, would cause the surrounding environment to be littered with micro plastic and ultimately and up washed into waterways, crops, roadways , into the soil.. You get the point. They say we already eat a credit card worth of plastic a week or some crazy shii like that..plastic is a huge problem! Let's think of uses that minimize shedding of micro particles! Personally i plan to use plastic to create 2x4, 2x6 and 2x12 "lumber" to build tiny homes. The thought being they are strong, light and when buried in walls wouldn't cause plastic contamination. God Speed y'all!

i need a pantheon, my sector 9 drop through is great, but for long distance pushing its not feasible to use the heel because the crouch is so deep in order to the the heel....causing massive quad burns after a mile or so. The way i get around it is to lean forward more from the hip up and pivot my torso further with my hamstrings providing most of the tension and then push of the inner-side of the balls of my feet and relaxing my ankle to allow it to stretch out. But man i just did 2.85 miles in 12m 56s with 174ft of vertical climbing, 3 monster 50ft hills....i havent ridden that way in a long time and it was so invigorating. Most ive done in a day was 40+ miles back in high school with no water, no food lol, it was a skate limp to home for the last 5-6 miles lol

Hello. I've come across your video when researching building an extrusion machine. Fantastic information and I love your passion. I have access to a fairly large recycling facility through a friend, after showing them my 3D printer and discussing waste PLA. They have offered me space in a workshop and access to any of their machines. They have a tool I can use for palletising failed prints so I want to build an extruder like yours as a proof of concept before approaching social media and asking for any and all failed prints to do a test run. I'm going to re watch your video and click the links for the parts but could you give me a rough overview on your costs to build this machine please? Have you encountered any issues? What would you do differently? Regarding moulds and product ideas; I've found my most regular request from friends and family are these mushroom shelves, they look like mushrooms on your wall with a flat surface for stuff on top. My friends have been painting them all sorts and sticking them all over the house. Secondly, Star Wars helmets, but I'm not sure how you would get around the copyright there - The texture of your recycled plastic compared to my 3d printed models would be much nicer too. Cheers! Hopefully speak to you soon
@Luka11804 ай бұрын
You can also use an extruder, especially if it is a twin-screw extruder, to produce a plastic masterbatch with a color of your choice. That's great if you wish to produce your very own filament, with its own specific color and properties. You can take PLA fibre - even one you made from scratch from sugars - and mix it in the extruder with pigments of your choice and other additives, usually a 50/50 ratio. It will eventually extrude out a thicker "rope" of material, which you can then have chopped into smaller pellets. Then, you can use pellets of a different color and mix it with those to get it even closer to a desired color if you wish, inside of a filament-extruder!

Are these bars not more or less cast rather than extruded per see. Have you tried to actually extrude the bars through short beam molds where the formed beams actually cooled outside the extruder mold rather than inside the mold?
@ARTVENTUREFILMSАй бұрын
Yes, i tried. My next video will be a little bit about that. The problem is, that for this kind of extrusion, you need a pretty thin structure or an insane amount of rapid cooling. I think you could somehow get to a point of actually extruding endless beams. maybe by cooling after extruding 1 to 2 meters but it's not really what I'm going for right now. Thanks for your input!!
@en2oh4 ай бұрын
How much was that extruder screw? This turned into a very expensive project, wasn’t it?
@ARTVENTUREFILMSАй бұрын
Yeah it did. I'm still on a budget with the project (compared to buying precious plastic machines) but it's definitely a lot for just trying out recycling.
