Hey bud, I just replaced my board because I was having EC faults. However now with the new board the EC issue is resolved but I’m getting an AO fault and my fan won’t start up. I plugged everything in exactly where it was on the old board, but no solution in sight to get the fan to start up. Any suggestions?

Walmart did this for me one time, but the plastic bag/envelope was open at the top and water got into it. The ink ran.

That humidifier is designed to be installed on the return air side in addition you don’t need the pressure switch If you have the humidistat installed.

My heater displayed the same “Sb” error as GTCGreg. I also misread the Sb code as temperature “56”. I followed the same cleaning steps, using CRC brake cleaner and the Sb code and service LED is no longer displaying. This method fixed my issue. I am still grateful for this video. If I needed to replace the boards, these instructions were on point. Thanks!

I had the same error code bought a new pressure switch installed it same thing it only runs for a minute and stops same code ,turns out to be a firmware update needed I’m going to try that next mine is a10kw

Had a similar problem with my Hayward heater. The service light would come on and the display would read Sb. At first I thought it was reading 56 but then found that Sb is the error code for a problem with the display board. I removed the board and inspected it for any water damage or corrosion but the board looked pretty good. I did notice a coating of what looked like white power on the top (led side) of the board. I sprayed the board with some CRC Break Cleaner and wiped it down with a soft cloth. I reinstalled the board and the heater works fine now. Not saying that this will fix all problems, but it's worth a try before you spend $250+ for a new board.

Well a hair over a year, any luck with the value? I luckily found receipt and exchanged one year on the exact day, for a replacement. The new one dies if truck isn't started for 3 days with dash cam left on. Curious what the known difference in "value" line to standard everstart? Great tip!

The C is for common or your ground there is no voltage there.

You are correct. I was going to comment the same thing. C is for common, not constant 24v.

How would you bypass this switch if needed?
@aswitzer3895 Жыл бұрын
Splice both wires together that would normally connect to the sensor. You risk damage if you actually lose oil, though. Probably only a good idea in an emergency until you can get a new switch.

yes, great job and start! the sip of beer during the moment of truth was key as well as the best practice that anytime doing something dangerous...start with a cold beer and remember to take your time and nurse that beer and relish in the moment of DIY success. don't do this at home unless you are great with tools...switzer clearly is a master of beer and all things electrical so don't expect the same miracles, unless you believe.

Second time I needed to watch your video in a few weeks. Hard to find videos out there that show my problem. I was wondering if the control board defaults to "standby" after the power has been turned off for awhile. Tonight I replaced the pool pump and now the heater won't come on. I suspect it defaulted into standby mode so maybe you helped me once again.

LMFAO. Thanks for posting. Our surface mount control board is trashed on the home we just bought so that has to be replaced but I also don't see the lights or temp so the board below must be half shot as well. The heater works fine for the hot tub though. This vid will get me through and back up to the heater's former glory I'm sure.

Hi Adam. Thanks for the video. Just wondering why would you only want the humidifier to turn on if the heater is on and not just the fan? Shouldn't the humidifier keep running until it meets the humidity set point regardless of heat on? Thanks in advance.
@kkuldip1233 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the excellent video. I have made sure that connections are correct. Water flows only when heater turns on and turns off when the heater turns off. However, the humidity is not increasing even when the humidistat is set to maximum. Any ideas as to what I can check? Thanks for your feedback.

Appreciate the confirmation on which terminals I needed but if someone slapped wires and hoses all over my system like that then they wouldn’t be getting paid... a few extra minutes and a little extra effort could have all that looking real nice.

Though I understand frustration if you cover is falling off I would not mount it with screws like you have here because the access door for the spare tire lowering rod must go through the small 2 1/2 square door on the right side. of the hitch. It is not advisable to make the access hard to get at. You can replace the lock springs and the turn locks to improve the hold. When lowering a tire : [Note insert the "flat" end on the rod first. GMs instructions could use improvement]

Totally junk product from honeywell. They sell this product knowing that the solenoid will fail within a few months or years. I talked with service rep at Honeywell and she immediately knew which replacement part I needed and told me that the replacement part was not in stock and had no idea when replacement part would be available,.
@Jetfuture7373 жыл бұрын
Our solenoid is still going strong after 7 1/2 years. We have a whole-house conditioning water filter, so I don't know if that has helped extend its life. But I will say that I just replaced the circuit board on the humidifier.

What if the only place it can be installed is about 6-10 degrees tilted. So the humidifier would be level side to side but kind of leaning back a little to look at a tall building kind of gesture? Thanks for your video

That installation is perfectly acceptable. The membrane through which the water flows will still work effectively due to the power of surface tension!

Thanks for the video. It was very helpful. I also trying to get the power from the furnace instead of using the transformer that comes with humidifier. The board of furnace has "HUM 24V" but it doesn't have "C" terminal. Instead it has "COM 24V" terminal. I think I should connect the two wires coming from humidistat to "HUM 24V" and "COM 24V". Am I correct? I have attached the picture of the board and specified the terminals. drive.google.com/open?id=1LZin_fVq942c6tswYXFhNvbeh7y4uUkj
