Ol "Watasha" had a heart of gold... The absolute very best Ol boy that has ever walked the planet. People like Ol Waylon will never die.

One of the most touching songs I ever listened to. I am glad having seen Rosanne live several times. She is such a great musician and personality in her own right.

It's true that I used to be crazy And harder to love than most men And the blood that ran in these tired hands Was harder and wilder back then And I don't feel as tall as I used to Maybe it's just that I've grown You're the one that held my hand when I fell If I just couldn't make it alone We've lived out all the stories Sang all the old songs It takes one to know me I guess, you're the one Your daughter's a lady, she's a fortune And your son an heir to the throne And though this crown that I hold is tarnished and cold It's a symbol of all that we own Sometimes I wish I was yo It's true that I used to be crazy And harder to love than most men And the blood that ran in these tired hands Was harder and wilder back then And I don't feel as tall as I used to Maybe it's just that I've grown You're the one that held my hand when I fell If I just couldn't make it alone We've lived out all the stories Sang all the old songs It takes one to know me I guess, you're the one Your daughter's a lady, she's a fortune And your son an heir to the throne And though this crown that I hold is tarnished and cold It's a symbol of all that we own Sometimes I wish I was younger And could pick up the pieces and run But then I look back on the matter of fact And it's a race that we've already won We've lived out all the stories Sang all the old songs It takes one to know me I guess, you're the one We've lived out all the stories Sang all the old songs It takes one to know me And you knew the one Traduzir para o português

After watching Roseanne's tribute to her mother, Johnny's first wife, I have a very hard time looking at June.
@msuddie12372 күн бұрын
No question, Rosanne loved her mother Vivian very much, and gave her a beautiful eulogy. However, you should also read the beautiful eulogy Rosanne wrote and personally delivered at June’s funeral (it’s on KZbin and in the book Rosanne wrote entitled “Composed”). You will realize that Rosanne actually liked June, believed June and her dad were soulmates, and gave June a lot of credit for being a positive influence on her and providing her important guidance when she was younger. Rosanne did not hate June, quite the opposite. She has stated in interviews and in her book that despite the pain her mother experienced as a result of the divorce, June and Johnny were better suited for each other and she knew that from the beginning. People divorce all the time when they realize they don’t have much in common and drift apart, then find other partners that suit them better - why be upset that Johnny and June fell in love, weathered many ups and downs, but found the perseverance and strength of love to stay married until the end. Johnny Cash married only twice. Willie Nelson married 4 times, Kris Kristofferson 3 times, Merle Haggard 5 times, Waylon Jennings 4 times. What Johnny and June found together many people never find, others go through many, many marriages to find it, ….their soulmate.
