No, Waylon and Johnny were very, very close friends. And I know that for days after Waylon died, all Johnny could do was cry. He missed him so much and felt guilty because he was too sick to keep in touch with him, and was too sick to even show up at the funeral and give him a final farewell. Johnny cared a lot about Waylon, a whole lot more than most people know or care to know. Johnny called him his "bloodbrother" and he meant it.
