Would you recommend this kind of school/education?

Someone in the comments section sounds butt-mad. If you have the option to give your kids a competitive advantage why not take it? There's literally nothing more normal in nature...

Like this video. I'm very much interested in Rudolf Steiner schooling. Can I use it as a listening material for our students? Thanks!

It doesn't exist? Did I miss the part about the cancelling of the Pound Sterling as the British currency? Priorities? You're an idiot if you don't think you can do just as well at a public school and save money. I do blame all private schools, not just the Edinburgh Steiner. I have a personal hatred for the school slightly more than others. You alongside many others are the reason for one of the biggest social divides in modern society. Debates are interesting, 'surrender' is never interesting.

Even though your family may be INCREDIBLY hard working, people are on the poverty line and you're splashing thousands of pounds about like it was chump change when people barely have enough money to feed themselves.

Quite simply, just because you have money does not mean that you should have the option to take an approach that betters your education over others. Private schools promote snobbery and division of wealth classes (I must say, I highly doubt they actively promote it) . People with little money deserve all the opportunities of someone with money. Also, if you go to a public school then you could probably lead a life with near enough at least another £5000 for your family, think that one over.

I'm guessing you'll say: 'Nothing is wrong with public schools' and mention that the way that they teach is not suited to all children. Yet, some of the children that go there have NO choice but to go because they simply cannot, in any way, afford to pay the ridiculous fees of a private school. Private schools are one the biggest divides of social and wealth classes and it all stems from the fact that some parents don't think public school will do their children any good

I'm glad we agree on that then. I don't have a problem with the fact that it is different, I just have a problem with the fact that you pay to be different. If the education was free then I honestly wouldn't have a problem at all. Parents pay to allow their children to attend a school that is fundamentally different from conventional schools. You add that you aren't from a well off background yet you still have enough money to go to this school and have a home. What is wrong with public schools?
@mrqu0n211 жыл бұрын
It really is. What is wrong with the education that poorer families have no choice but to accept? Who cares about the origins, really? Today is what I am bothered about. Bastards send their children to these schools, thinking they deserve better than the poorer children. If I wanted to send my child to this school or any school for that matter, money should not even come into the equation. All education should be equal, attainable and most of all free!

All sorts of background that have enough money, yes. The government won't fund them? Is that what you are going for? I do say that about other private schools. Steiner schools annoy me the most for their very structure, the idea of being so different from the norm of society. I mean, do the parents think that they are above everyone else in society? That because they have money, their children have the right to a supposed 'better' education? It sickens me that people find this acceptable.

Again, bring on the social and financial divide. Utterly atrocious that such a school can exist.

Yes, a school that splits those with money from those without. You must be proud.

I am one of those souls who can't get enough of the works of Rudolf Steiner, yet can't get far enough away from Anthroposophists. Anthroposophy has become the very thing Steiner did not want it to become...a cult. If you want to spark someones healthy interest in Anthroposophy, don't send them to any groupings of so-called Anthroposophists. Rather, give them the books and lectures of Steiner.
