I'll be frank. I love the whole Ripperology thing... but every single suspect put forward has never convinced me. Just more BS written by people who miss the obvious (like Kasmininkk... Abraham... who was clearly too mentally ill to do it). Then I discovered Charlie Lechy via your channel. Tell you what? It's an eye opener. Seriously. Mate, you've certainly convinced me. 👍

It's a macabre subject and an uncomfortable thing to consider...but the nature of the mutilations and other marks on the womens bodies are important in understanding the killer. Surely your exhaustive efforts and your presentations have found the most logical culprit, and we all thank you, Mr. Stow. I am hoping that an equal examination into the nature of the forensic pathology and the killers likely psychological issues could be given consideration. I realize that there are limitations in this because of KZbin guidelines, but this aspect of the case is often overlooked. I am not as learned in the subject as you, and living across the pond I have no idea what London culture is like today, let alone Victorian times. But I believe the killer (Lechmere) was likely well read, confident in his intellect, and likely looked at himself as an artist. There might be more clues in his letters, the graffiti, and the mutilations if one were to take the same exhaustive look at such things. If not on your channel, could you perhaps point me to a few books on this? Again, thank you for your great videos!

When listening to people other than Stow and Holmgrem talk about this subject matter it genuinely seems to me like I’m listening to a bunch of amateurs. No offence meant, but seriously, it’s typically a continuous monologue of pure conjecture, filler and debunked theories in all other videos I have watched so far. I happily have an open mind to the suspect in this case as I’m not biased and have no reason to be - I’m happy to give any one suspect the time they deserve - but unlike the others, each and every big statement these gentlemen raise is backed up by a combination of real archival evidence combined with very well thought out, researched and logical arguments. Hats off to you Gentlemen for laying it down as straight as we could possibly know it thus far. I still can’t believe how other people can genuinely look themselves in the eye and say their ‘suspect’ is more plausible unless they are trying to sell copies of their book where it turns out they backed the wrong horse….

Really? 136 years later and you expect stuff to remain, no Ripper victims were missing bones, just organs which would have decomposed or eaten by rats many decades ago. Unless you think Lechmere was the Torso killer and he disposed or cut up the victims at home in the presence of his missus and 11 kids? Dear me... unbelievable.

@ianhope3202 On the cutting up and Torso murders. They didn't do cutting up of horse flesh for cats meat in doors at home in front of the kids. They either had premises or old sheds what today we would call workshops at the bottom of the garden. In those days called yards. So I'd say anything could be cut up? And also in those days kids we're seen and not heard.. although they did help with cutting up with the family buisness of cutting up the horse flesh and the wifes helped.. Lechmere would have had access to sharp knives and knew how to cut up flesh at a very young age.

It's sad we'll never know for sure who the fiend was but I believe a strong candidate is the syphilitic butcher of Middlesex Street named Jacob Levy, aka David Cohen. He matches the criminal profiling and the most credible witness descriptions of the suspect. He possessed the Means, Methods and Motivation for the crimes. And was a raving lunatic for good measure! The witness George Hutchinson (considered a credible witness at the time) had also reported that he had seen a man of a Jewish appearance accompanying Mary Jane Kelly on the night of the Millers Court murder, and who he thought as seeing once again a short time later in Jacob's street of residence - Middlesex Street!

He was seen standing alone next to the body of a woman who, as the medical examination and Robert Paul's as well as 3 PCs' testimonies imply, had been killed immediately before the moment at which he claimed to have found the body. Plus, there were signs that the killer had been disturbed -- that would have been by Lechmere if he was innocent --, but he said he heard and saw nothing. He claimed to have walked little more than 40 yards ahead of Paul, yet the latter (although on his guard because of the area's bad reputation) never noticed him on his way to and along Buck's Row. He blatantly lied to PC Mizen by saying he, Mizen, was wanted in Buck's Row by a policeman. He attended the inquest rather late, only when he felt compelled to do so, and then withheld his real name. What's more, he obviously never even told his own family that it was him who found Polly Nichols. The Ripper murders occured within an area that was defined by his home address, his workplace, and the place where his mother and eldest daughter lived. Due to his job he had a ready excuse for being out and about in the wee hours of the morning when the streets were largely deserted (and even for carrying a knife, btw). Having actually counted no less than 24 red flags for "poor old Lech" I could go on and on. That's not exactly "zero to suggest he was anything other than a hard working family man". He's clearly a person of interest to say the least.

@@thehouseoflechmere9407 well sir i have watched them all, some more than once. I am just not convinced, far from it. I have read the arguments for (lots of them) and those against (lots of those too), and there is simply not enough to come close to thinking Lechmere killed Nicholls. Nowadays most white people in London speak English with a hybrid Jamaican dialect which is very different from the anglo saxon dialect of English which was spoken by the staff at selfridges. In the early 2000's, young white people on council estates in London became JAMAICANISED. This is when they starting speaking with English with a hybrid Jamaican dialect. For example, Essex county is the only place in Britain where the cockney dialect/and or accent is still spoken.

No, As a retired Police Officer who has done more than a little research into Jack the Ripper my one and only suspect is Jacob Isenschmid, Known previous as 'The Crazy Butcher", He had previous been taken off the list of suspects because he was in a mental hospital during the double event on September 30th 1888, but we now know that he had previously escaped and returned to the hospital without being seen and then escaped for over 20 years and turned himself back in a few months before dying, When asked where he was he stated "Doing work in America, I miss the Albuquerque sun rises". We also know there was a string of Murders dubbed "The American Ripper" from early 1889 until 1920 from New York City to Albuquerque that were identical to the White Chappel Murders, if he had slipped away without anyone noticing once how do we KNOW he was there during the September 30th double murder.
