they fit true to size for me, maybe a tad smaller than normal shoes but not noticeably

I think fit often plays a big part in this. My pair is showing up in a couple days. I will be deciding between these and my Puma DN2 to use for my upcoming marathon. The Pumas are great and the midsole held up on my last 15 miler but they fit so narrow that Im really worried about taking them up to the full. These Nikes are wider and my Nike Zegama 2s trail shoes just fit me so much better than the Pumas. Im hoping the Zoomflys have a similar all day comfort fit. Im also only running 5:00min/km or 8:00min/mile for my marathon pace. So we will see I suppose. Thanks for the review, very well put together and clearly articulated your experience.

Zoom fly 5 was an amazing shoe……Nike haters are just plain annoying
@ColeRunning9 сағат бұрын
Nike haters? lol I just didn’t like the shoes, Vaporfly are amazing. Enjoyed the Tempo Next% also.

Nike has SEVERAL good training shoes…….

Thanks Cole. I was going to get these for Christmas, but now Nike only have the Kipchoge version, which I don't really want. Never has a plated shoe. Perhaps I will get adios pro 3.
@DeeKay19113 күн бұрын
The Kipchoge series does look amazing though. This feels like it would be a good longer distance with pace shoe for me

Adidas Adizero Boston 12 is my favorite running shoe .The more I run in it the better it gets.

Any good for heel strikers?
@olli-perttikojo44243 күн бұрын
Other reviewers have said unstable heel. Nike is usually good for heelstrikers, here that missing back part, Alphafly style, makes me doubt it. I would say Puma deviate (I have the 2) and Sauc. Speed 3/4 would be better for heelstrike. Asics in general, too. I do not like Adidas lateral heel bewel.

Ah interesting Cole. Funny sometimes how shoes can be loved by some and meh at best for others. I held back on these as found the 3 and 5 to be heavy bricks but FOMO took over and ordered the Kipchoge colour way one and at least was able to use a £20 off code I had. I now have my doubts again.
@baotang55403 күн бұрын
The colorway roll out has been interesting. It seems like EU has only gotten black/white like yours, where US is getting the Kipchoge colorway first. And some areas the white/pink/purple

Takumi Sen is way too aggressive for an everyday shoe, like the Zoom Fly is designed to be. The Boston 12 is good, but it's firmer and not as... fun. So subjective. Everyone is different. To me, the Zoom Fly 6 is one of the best uptempo, everyday trainers out there... and I've got 13 shoes in rotation for reference.
@theghostofpcs23913 күн бұрын
I find the Takumi Sen 10 to be a very laid back and comfortable shoe, until you start pushing the pace, and it completely changes character. I'm not about to use it for every day, but it would totally do the job for me. It's way more friendly than the firm/rigid Boston 12.

Tempo Next % was best training shoe Nike have had recently. Loved mine and put many miles in them. I had the Zoomfly 3 which i quite like during Lockdown so over 4 years ago !! Honesty is the best policy for reviews and remember everyone is different so you can only go on what you feel. Enjoyed this Cole and would be happy to watch more shoe reviews from you 😀

They’re completely different shoes, novablast 5 will be more of a mileage/daily trainer. Based on the previous iterations I reckon the novablast is a good shout!

Love this shoe, best shoe I’ve bought long time. Just shows how subjective shoes are, these are comfortable quick and can run easy in them, I even prefer over superblast. You can’t send used shoes back to Nike anymore in uk, policy has changed.

Nice one Cole. Remember youre a young lad, you don't need to do a marathon. They may be all the rage on social media and bring in the views but imo you'd be best doing a track season, working on that speed and then you don't really need to touch the marathon until you're lates 20s or into your 30s. Start running quick 1500s and 3k's reguarly and progress through the distances. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the next one.

Great to see you around Matt Rees and Mike Roderick, I had to sit out this year at Cardiff because of a hamstring injury, second best to see all of you blasting around the course, ‘that’ hill/slope has claimed a few casualties over the years! Found it quite inspiring about my own injury now, can’t wait to get back.
