They are still available. Google search. Not sure about rear options. You may want to consider our Facebook group, Personal Track Vehicles. Tons of information and ideas!

???- Do you think or is there some sort of muffler that would lower the noise? Or would an engine cover help as well? Thanks
@Personal_Track_Vehicle
@Personal_Track_Vehicle 3 ай бұрын
I would think one could muffle the sound down, yes. I actually thought about the idea. I haven't worked on that yet. On the red one I really wanted all the horsepower I could get, thus a fairly unrestricted exhaust. The PTV2 is stock right now.

As I'm binge watching along here, I have to laugh that 3 or 4 people, just about every video ask about the treads or the diff. You should start asking for a donation of a buck before every time you answer! 😂😂😂👍

I think the horizontal bracing is fine. IMO, you could use more vertical strength. I'd go with some ladder bracing front to back and/or use 1x2 rectangle for some of the deck members, if not all. A lot more dynamic loading up/down than side to side with the frame weight, engine and trans weight and rider weight, etc. You could add bracing to what you have by intermittent welding lengths of flat bar, on edge, on the underside of your deck frame members. 1/2" to 1", which ever fits. Has to be continuous front to back to work though. If you leave a gap, all the bending load will get focused on that one spot. Enjoy the binge watch! Looking more and more like what I need! Thanks Chuck. Bert the Weldor

I put the same diff on my build with a stock 18HP engine. The only thing I have broken has been the chain from the torque converter to the jack shaft.

Making a new oddball widget is so cool. What is not cool is getting your limb wrapped around a pulley or your foot caught in a track. Keep rolling the dice, and you will find out why so many machinist and heavy equipment operators are missing body parts. Flame on. Its still true regardless.

These can be really useful but god damn those are out of price range. 170$ just for the differential, engine 350$ least here, tracks 600$ and so on. Motor sled tracks would be suitable replacement least on snow, but those are even more expensive and tend to require snow. Well hopefully someday i can gather the parts to make something like this.

When I built the first one everything was much less, a $99 motor, diff was $80 and tracks were donated. Crazy increases.

Hand brakes are a good idea for your style of frame. Definitely shocks. Mine rides so smooth with the suspension. I can feel the bumps on the ground only when I'm wheelieing on the sprockets, LOL. The torque convertor I think is a must have. Mine is a 3 speed gearbox and can only shift to any gear when fully stopped.

i think there is no problem in your track vehicle invention i'd watch your video test running it , but when im watch it i hear a scretching sound on the track and by watching i saw that the track is undetailed causing the track to scratch on bracket of the pully in front and another cause is the pully is a little bit small thats why it scratch it in the bracket, the whole vehicle is ok exept to the track that is the one who is needed to detailed.......
