Idk, Shawn’s tuck is a little loose compared to Simone’s, but in the grand scheme of things that doesn’t really matter. Shawn also lands with her chest lower more often on skill than Simone did. And there are moments in time where they are similar ages competing this skill. When Simone was younger she would twist that skill so fast that she’d be done twisting basically at 1.5 flips and could just spot, open, and then drop from the sky. I could go on rambling but I think each has pros and cons that are equal so they’re dead even and would be left up to preference on who’s form you like better

As a former gymnast and power tumbler I prefer how Shawn does it. She showed more technic and control on her landings. Both are great. And yes I know Simone does a triple double but she rarely sticks it and stays inbounds. Shawn shows control and mastery of this specific skill. I’d love to see Simone do her triple double in layout position. That would be gorgeous.

They are both amazing, but Shawn has a prettier toe point, and Simone has a better chest position on landing. Also Simone gets more height in my opinion.

Simone doesn't have the feet, isn't as graceful, and McKayla has a better figure with longer legs and thin waist.

I think McKayla’s lines are prettier. Her appear straighter and tighter together. Maybe it’s just how skinny they are compared to Simone’s muscles. But McKayla’s lines look tighter to me. Both are incredible

Flavia, the technique is flawless. Anna has longer legs so it looks more dramatic. Both are simply amazing!

Thomas, not by a lot though. obviously the stick with bonus helps, but regardless, before the flight element Biles already messed up slightly leaving her to fly sideways then touching the line and being less stable

Shawn was successful INTERNATIONALLY FOR 1 YEAR!!!! Worlds in 2007 and then the games of 2008 which was less than a year after worlds…. SIMONE HAS SUCCESSFUL FOR OVER A DECADE!!! NO COMPARISON!

Simone's is slightly higher. Shawn had neater ankles and often pointed her toes. I'd say - Shawn - because they're an entire generation apart. And I suspect that Shawn's Silivas was harder won as she learned and performed on different equipment. The coaching and equipment are safer, and the technique is less trial-and-error. I think that if Shawn Johnson was the same generation as Simone, that Shawn's silivas would be higher and even more refined.

Both are awesome but what makes the difference in my opinion is because Anna Pavlova's leg are longer and that visually is spectacular! But Saraiva's leap doesn't get behind. They're really an athlete to have as a reference!

They are both great on this skill, but I would have to give the nod to Simone just because she has better height. With that height her chest is in a straighter position. Where Shawn’s chest is lower when landing.

Pavlova's hyperextended knees always give me the optical illusion that her front leg is too low, so I definitely enjoy looking at Flavia's more.

Simone’s form seems tighter and cleaner and she had sooo many good landings, giving her that advantage, while Maroney’s vault looks higher and her block is just crazy powerful. Also their heights are 4.8 and 5.4 so it’s hard to compare…

For me ..Anna Anna Anna . She has the most beautiful flexibility. . She also has more shoulder flexibility . But I think Flavia is hitting the position the judges are judging for these days .

Anna Pavlova, hands down! One of the most technically precise gymnasts in decades. God I miss her so much. Have followed her since 2002 and she made me fall absolutely in love with women’s artistic gymnastics all over again…❤

Great champions. But none of them. Shawn tuck form was pretty open and with a low chest lending. And Simone has quite obvious flexed feet and a small separation close to landing. If you want to see a perfect form, you watch Chinese gymnasts.

Love them both, but Flavia lands both feet at the same time, which is more pleasing to me.

Pavlova for me, and it's definitely a close call. Under further observation, it appears that Flavia gets higher and thus more time in the air to spend a split millisecond more time in the ring position, but seems like her split isn't over 180 degrees as much as Pavlova. I'd be curious to go back and really look at more examples now.

Simone wins overall. This is her best skill, but men and woman artistic gymnastics are on different leagues, this is why simone can do a triple double tucked, and Shirai can do a triple double in layout

Anna she was so under rated

Both are fantastic, but I think Simone tends to land with her chest higher.

Anna has longer legs so it looks like back leg is higher because its longer but her front leg is usually half way down at time when back leg is full up so no split position in air
